Bowl projections

For the 2024 and 2025 seasons, the 10 former Pac 12 programs will all play in the Pac 12 bowl tie-in games, which also includes Oregon, Washington, USC and UCLA

Oregon - 11-0 - CFP bound so no "bowl tie in"
ASU - 9-2 - Arizona this week - Probably 10-2
CU - 8-3 - Okie State this week - Probably 9-3
WSU - 8-3 - Wyoming this week - Probably 9-3
USC - 6-5 - ND this week - Probably 6-6
UW - 6-5 - Oregon this week - Probably 6-6
Cal - 6-5 - SMU this week - Probably 6-6

Oregon State - 5-6... They play Boise State this weekend and will probably fall to 5-7 and out of bowl eligibility

Utah, Arizona, UCLA and Stanford already eliminated from bowl eligibility.

So the NY6 bowls are now part of the CFP, which Oregon and potentially ASU/CU will be part of, so then it goes to the Alamo Bowl which will be either ASU or CU if neither of them win the Big 12 and then the Holiday Bowl would get whichever one is left over.
I could see Alamo picking Wazzu to avoid an all Big XII bowl game, but I think they take the CU fanbase for the $$$ no matter what.

I’m I correct in thinking that both Shedeur and Travis will not play in a bowl game in anticipation of being high first round picks?

The bowl game that CU would go to would be more like a televised QB tryout for next season and likely for QB2 behind JuJu.

Follow up... I'd rather see CU play in the Holiday or Las Vegas Bowls. I really don't care to see CU play Iowa State or BYU in a bowl game.

I wouldn't mind CU/BYU or CU/ASU because I really think the 4 corners schools should play every year.

I have no interest in playing ISU.

CU will have gone to 3 bowl games in the past 20 years... All of them are going to be in ****ing San Antonio...
???

The last two were Alamo Bowls but the Independence Bowl in 2007 was Shreveport, the Champs Sports in 2005 was Orlando, and the 2004 EV1.net Houston Bowl (last bowl win, which I attended) was Houston as the name implies.

Probably going to play some per uncle neely
I wouldn’t expect Neely to flat out say that they won’t play in the bowl game, otherwise interest would dwindle. I am not taking that at face value
Pure crazy.

Prime is NOT flying Peggy private to watch the buffs lose.

The boys will play
Being in the bowl game is more important than winning an exhibition while risking careers for a meaningless game.

I haven't seen a bowl win in person since the "insight.com" bowl against Boston College.

Prime's mouthpieces try not to lie, but it's best to believe in the worst. Well done

I think it's doubtful that Travis plays. His draft stock is pretty contingent on health and he hasn't really been the poster child for staying healthy in college. I do think Shedeur plays in the bowl game because it'll be his last game with his dad and finishing the season on a high note and hopefully double digit wins is important. However, I also think Prime will want to get Staub some reps since he's almost assuredly hitting the portal.

They wouldn't play ASU in a bowl game. They'll play a 2023 Big 12 team if they end up in the Alamo Bowl
My God, I took my son and his mom to San Antonio in like 2007, I believe? Anyway, we had fun and everything, but that was one of the trashiest cities I'd ever been to. 2007 was a long fvcking time ago so I can't imagine it would be any better these days. :D

I don’t care too much about winning the bowl. I don’t think that it impacts people’s impression of the program.

So not really a bad scenario to me but I see where you’re coming from lol

I don’t know. Every time they show the graphic that CU hasn’t won a bowl game since 2004, it sounds pretty bad to me…and they aren’t even mentioning CU’s only been to 4 since then.

That’s fair, I wasn’t thinking about the fact that we haven’t won any since 04. Maybe it does matter that we win this one lol
