Bubble Watch - Saturday 3/12

I saw it, they just haven't updated online yet. Lunardi has been putting out his fully updated bracketology with the whole bracket each night around 11. Can't wait to see that mofo!!
 
The assholes that did our game are now talking about how terrible losing to CU was for Texas during the OU-UT game.

Hey, ****ers, didn't you see the team that just played? Maybe playing them in Boulder isn't actually a cakewalk.

Thats not at all what they said. All they did was discuss the game and actually gave us a lot of credit. There is no media conspiracy against CU, I promise.
 
Wow, what a rollercoaster ride. A week ago, we all lamented that sonic boom that was heard over Ames. Now, a mere week later, we're watching team after team fall by the wayside while we try on a new pair of dancin' shoes.

I'd get in line again for this ride.

it was a bad loss, took them playing baylor a week and a half later to recover...

It's SoS based. As near as I can tell, RPI has a pretty heavy penalty for games against teams with a bad RPI. I think Nik explained it in one of the threads a couple weeks ago, but I don't remember the details anymore. Bottom line, we played a bunch of teams with 300+ RPI rankings. If we had just played teams around 200 instead, we probably still win and our RPI looks a lot better.

Basically, it was poor scheduling from an RPI standpoint.

Hopefully KU's guards shoot a bunch of times and give us a chance. I don't see any possible way for us to stop either Morris brother and T-Rob will have a field day with multiple offensive rebounds as well as lots of and 1s. Not counting us out tho! :D
 
WSU currently up on Washington. Unfortanetly, pretty much every bubble team won today. Were basically a lock to get in, but im still woried about ending up in Dayton. Lunardi considers tomorows Georgia-Bama game and BC-Clemson game as play in games with the losers going to the NIT. Also, thinks Michigain St. is NIT bound unless they pull the upset against Purdue.
 
The wheels have fallen off of Washington since their scandal broke two months ago. They don't deserve to be dancing unless they win at least one tourney game...

That offense looked like a force to be reckoned with the first half of the season. I thought UDub was a top 15 team for a while there.

I'm glad Overton was suspended for the tourney. UW has been in a tailspin since the story broke in January...

UW has a talented squad that hasn't become a team. If they put it together they can go far, but I've never seen a more Jekyl and Hyde squad in my life...
 
Going to be interesting to see what happens in this second half. If the Huskies don't come back, I'm really not sure you let them in the dance if USC or Wazzu keep up the strong play and get a couple more decent wins
 
Night-owls still lurking should switch to FSN. Wazzu is up 47-44 on Washington, good game with with two bubble teams fighting it out. Wazzu is attempting to beat UDub for the third time this year
 
For such a filthy pot-smoker that Klay Thompson kid can play. Hmmm, it's almost like it isn't particularly harmful or something. Nahhhh...couldn't be
 
The court the pac-10 is using is pretty annoying. Huge center court logo, the lane is painted bright yellow, theres this multi-colored metalic thing going on on the endlines, and then advertiments and writing all over the place.
 
New Mex gets another shot at beewhyyou, who they've beaten 4 times in a row. NM might be playing their way into tourney consideration.

New Mexico is an interesting team at 21-11 (8-8). Their RPI isn't great but it's within rage (72nd before their two conference tourney wins). If they were to beat BYU for the third time this season, they might have a case, as they have two wins over CSU and a win over our Buffs as well. However, they were also swept by Utah and lost to Wyoming.

Losing to Wyoming should be an automatic disqualifier....

They probably need to win the conference tourney. Hard to see them getting 4 teams in out of the MWC, and they'd have to skip over CSU to take UNM as the fourth...
