College Football News, Rumor & Humor

I know a lot of people think he’s whiny or what not, but Dillingham is by far my favorite non CU coach. Seems like a genuinely good dude that wants the best for his players, loves what he’s doing and where he’s doing it. I hope continues being successful every year except for against CU

First, I totally get that point of view, though I could see it as a politically correct way of saying, if you have a foot out the door, lemme help you get the other one out.

Second, I so hate NIL and the portal. Why in the world should kids who have a chance to go to a goddamn playoff game be thinking about leaving? Cause adults are in their ear about $$$$ of course.

Apply your second point to countless coaches who left their team before a bowl game.

Kind of weird that these are paid professionals now, but there don't seem to be contractual obligations to do things like play the entire season.

Eh, I don't like that part of the game either. At the same time, the AD often probably feels the same way as my first point - if you don't want to be here, GTFO.

But isn’t the team recouping some salary from the coach leaving (either from the coach or the new team)? Team gets nothing from the player leaving.

I have no clue how nil deals are structured but I assume they are year-to-year, so the player only gets the money for the time played.

As an older cfb fan, I don’t love all of the player movement but I get it. When the adults in the room jump around for better deals at will, I don’t see a reason why anyone would call out the kids for doing it.

Point being - if a coach doesn’t coach in a bowl game, the team gets something. A player doesn’t play, the team is just holding its dick.

Bill B might be the new coach at UNC. Here’s the key portion of the announcement. He wants them to totally change everything about their commitment to football.

Prime has something similar to the blueprint outlined here. For those who think that Prime will leave for just any job willy-nilly, think again. Colorado is all-in on Prime as its Head Football Coach and is making the investments for the way things have to be done now. Other schools are not going to make these investments. Other schools will not embrace Prime the way Colorado has.

This dude should not have a Heisman vote.

TL;DR he's an Arizona radio guy that voted for Scattebo. Who's a great player, but hardly a Heisman candidate compared to TH or any other finalist.

TBH, if anyone east of the Rockies has known about Skattebo earlier than Halloween, he'd be in NYC. He certainly deserves it more than Dillon Gabriel.

But ASU flew under the radar for so long that no one knew who he was or what he was doing. Hunter and Jeanty had separated themselves by then.
