Colorado RPI Watch

Beavs are unconscious tonight. They'll win this. Hopefully it puts it into their heads that jacking up deep 3s and throwing up running skyhooks from 10 feet away are good ideas for when they play us.

Hopefully Robinson will let Oregon State party for a few days. I'm convinced this is a good thing to take their desperation away

Wyoming tried hard to throw away a big lead at Cal State Bakersfield. Thankfully, they held on. Cowboys improve to 16-6 (2-6) and break their streak of 4 straight losses. This was obviously an OOC game. If they want to climb back into the middle of the MWC, they have to win at Boise State in their next game.

Wyoming at 16-6 after the win tonight and now looking at a HUGE 3-game stretch. They're at Boise State this weekend and then host Nevada and Fresno State the following week. Getting to 19-6 (5-6) has to happen before their final 5 games (@SDSU, UNLV, @AFA, @UNM, CSU).

Colorado State improves to 19-4 (6-2). Difficult stretch for them coming up: San Diego State, @ Air Force, @ UNLV, New Mexico.

If you want the Buffs dancing, then CSU doing well is in your interest. We're on that thin a level of ice right now, folks.

Glad that's over. CSU has a chance to take a commanding hold on 2nd place when they host SDSU in a week.

CU opponents in action on Thursday:

Washington 13-9 (5-4) at UCLA 16-6 (6-3). We aren't catching UCLA after blowing it at Utah. Best UCLA wins to help ensure we can catch and pass Washington.

Cal 13-8 (5-4) at Arizona State 17-5 (6-3). Our loss at Utah made it much more difficult for us to catch and pass ASU, but it's still not impossible. We definitely have to pass Cal.

Washington State 11-11 (2-7) at USC 9-13 (4-5). Meh. Credit to USC for being in the thick of things given that their OOC buried them well under .500 and they lost their coach. They could have easily just quit and they didn't. Still, we aren't finishing behind either of these two, so whatever happens, happens. Perhaps Wazzu winning would be best to ensure that we're safe from USC, but...if we're battling with USC at the end of the season in the Pac-12 standings, we aren't even remotely close to making the Dance, so whatever.

Murray State 16-5 (7-2) hosts Belmont 19-4 (10-0). HUGE game. These are the types of wins we need our opponents to get to boost our resume. This one is for control of the OVC (these two are in opposite divisions and will likely meet in the OVC Tournament).

Wofford 8-15 (2-8) hosts Elon 15-7 (8-2). Wofford has completely collapsed, but hopefully they can pick up a few W's down the stretch. They should not be this bad. Very disappointing.

This is such a big night for us.

Wofford's up by 4 on Elon with 16 minutes left. Cross your fingers.

Murray State and Belmont just tipped off. Cross your toes.

CU with an opportunity to re-assert itself at Oregon. Get naked under the moonlight and sacrifice a duck to Jobu.

I thought it was supposed to be a live chicken?

Or in the alternative ...

Wofford/Elon has been back and forth the whole way. 37-34 Wofford

Murray State looking good early, 7 point lead.

Wofford up 52-40 with just a few minutes left. Excellent start to the night for Wofford to beat an Elon team that is one of the best in the SoCon

CVille starting the night strong by teasing the jinx monkey. UVA's dominating performance got you feeling cocky?

Ever since proclaiming an Oregon State win last night with 11 minutes left and not having them "Robinson it", I've been feeling extremely confident

Wofford wins 60-50 over Elon in Spartanburg. Wofford improves to 9-15 (3-8)

Murray State up 36-26 at halftime on a very solid Belmont team

Wofford got it done. Big win for them. Now 9-15 on the year. They've got potential to win some games down the stretch. Elon's a good team and when Wofford's been right they've beaten teams like Xavier.

Northern Arizona got another win tonight (Portland State). They're now 9-14. Nice.

Belmont making a furious comeback ... Murray's lead down to 6 with 2 remaining.

Murray State holds on to beat Belmont to give them their first conference loss of the season

Racers now 17-5 (8-2)
