CU at Texas Tech 11/9 @ 2pm MT on FOX

Boy…if you listen to the Tech camp all the bad officiating was at their expense. There clearly were some bad calls that didn’t go their way with that roughing the passer call we got and the missed facemask, but based on their reaction you’d think they didn’t get away with at least as many missed calls.

Loser talk. They scored 13 points off of moving the ball via pick plays.

They got a ****ty roughing penalty back from us late in the 4th.

Yep. The game was poorly officiated overall. Luckily we found a way…
My youngest sent me a freeze frame of TT’s first TD to go up 7-0. He froze the shot just as the ball came loose. It came loose short of the end zone. The ball went into the end zone and CU recovered.

Should’ve been CU’s ball at the 20 with the score 0-0.

Not that any of this matters.

Damn, Prime really got after the officials (really just the one white guy), more than we saw initially. Definitely dropped a “that’s racist” or something along those lines. Starts at about 9:05

And when I brought this up in game, I was told to keep it in the Politics Forum. Maybe so, but I believe we may see skewed calls toward certain players and coaches by officials a lot more going forward. Because why not? Our soon-to-be leader has empowered it.

That and I think it has a lot to do with where we played. There's always going to be home team treatment, but i bet you it's different in Lawrence (KC) than f*****ing Lubbock.

can't reach fox tv GIF by Bob's Burgers

I definitely see the officials being a lot more focused on taunting and celebration stuff than I see when other teams play. With that, they also seem to give some leeway to our opponents getting chippy with our Buffs. I haven't really felt like it has impacted the personal foul calls either way.

Texas Tech has the kicker who flashed a MAGA shirt celebration against TCU and wasn't penalized. Compare that to Horn's peace sign celebration and getting a TD taken off the board. Stuff like that make it seem reasonable to question if refs are making biased calls because of politics or racism.

Not sure about the TT celebration but Horn flashed the peace out sign in the defender’s face.

Taunting a player on the other team is going to get called 99% of the time. It happens to many teams every weekend. Horn threw up peace out to the players face = penalty. Flashing a MAGA shirt in the end zone is no more taunting than Travis with the backflip spider man.

I don't think I have seen another example of it taking points off the board. I've also seen where the same thing wasn't called. The inconsistent application, which we've been on the wrong end of, is where I have a complaint. It sure seems like this is a point of emphasis for officials when it comes to our Buffs.
