CU has rejoined the Big 12 and broken college football - talking out asses continues

How much did CU students enjoy attending a lower-ranked school? How did Baylor requiring two religion courses over four years impact their science teaching?

Again, at Stanford and Berkeley: widespread respect for a Baylor undergrad education. At Colorado, jokes of superiority despite a lower ranking. Is it not blatantly obvious how pathetic that looks?

You're right - Baylor is an excellent school both academically and athletically. I would love for CU to be as committed to being successful across the board as Baylor is, but it's irrelevant on the board. Many on this board despises Baylor purely for political reasons.

If by political reasons you mean trying to cover up murder and rape you are right. Is that why you love Baylor?

Yes, I understand. I was really speaking to actual viewers of the game versus cable subscribers getting hit with carriage fees. I understand carriage fees are dollars and eyeballs are not. This is one reason why carriage fees are starting to be a bigger portion of the pie versus advertising. However, there is a time when non-sports viewers will no longer subsidize sports. For the most part, cord cutters will choose packages that do not include Fox Sports and ESPN. That transition is happening now. The network statisticians have all the data and they know what they are doing in the short, medium and longer-term. So, in short, yes, Rutgers does bring the NYC market today, but maybe not for long.
These carriage deals are negotiated by the leagues/conferences directly with the individual TV providers. As long as there’s cable, existing carriage deals will exist. When people cut the cord, sports packages will become more expensive. Regardless, these TV deals will pay the leagues/conferences handsomely for the forseeable.

Kind of like McCartney had many thugs and renegades in his program, was paying players, and having fake test-takers sit-in for incoming recruits? Or how one of McCartney's asistants was being paid to deliver players to specific agents for the NFL draft? Or maybe like Barnett had probably the single biggest recruiting sex scandal in college football history? CU and its fans always think they are morally superior, whether they win or lose.

Love the effort.

Its three people really-Art Briles, Carlton Dotson, and Baylor Buddy Jones.

If CU stays in the PAC 10, we should demand Christian Gonzalez back, a player to be named later, and $2,000,000 cash from Phil Knight.
We can trade coach meat back for their DB coach that’s now at CU. CU should also demand a trade from the Beavs for Alton Julian and Rezjohn Wright, since if CU stays, OSU doesn’t drop to G5…😂

The answer: one of the most overrated schools in the country.

what is Tulane?
I watched 3 Tulane games last year all of them were better than the CU game played the same day.
I DVR 6-8 games on any given Sat., I don't get on the net until I've watched most of them.
Done this way I can judge where CU is on a competitive level, B12, SEC & ACC...I don't bother with the B+ unless it's a game where I know nu is going to get their ass kicked.

This actually isn't entirely correct depending on which ranking you prefer. US News and World Report's rankings use acceptance % as a ranking criteria. So winning games actually drives up enrollment and drives down the acceptance % which helps in that ranking. Freaking Alabama now has more than 50% off their student body from out of state.

They don’t. But it’s a fun argument to make.

USNWR 2022 rankings of "National Universities" has Cal-Berkeley at 22, Baylor at 75, and CU-Boulder at 99.

I'm not a huge believer in the pinpoint accuracy of rankings lists like this but the USNWR lists have cache with a lot of people so take it for what it's worth.

(CU is light years away from Cal academically; it's not even debatable.)
But light milliseconds away from Auburn. And Utah.

Can you give specifics, and provide some sort of ranking? In my recollection it was a little over blown.

* to 223’s credit, “recruiting” was specified. If not, Penn St, Arkansas, Baylor, Urban Meyer?? would be waaaay worse.

Maybe you can help me here, did CU's administration try to cover up "the single biggest recruiting sex scandal in college football?" 'Cuz Baylor and Uncle Ken sure did.

****, I'm an atheist who celebrates when a criminal walks away scot free and I'm morally superior to the creeps that run Baylor.

Define “thugs” (and “renegades” just for good measure)

Gimme a minute while I look up "thug" in the racist dog whistle dictionary.

....

hypothesis confirmed.

I just realized our future is rape vs roids smack talk against Baylor fans and lots of you are super here for it

damnit p12 and your wine and charcuterie boards and hiring ****ty coaches and hitching academic wagons to furd and gold bear
wine and cheese jokes aside, culture fit does matter or should. everyone not already in the big or sec is looking for a life boat and i get that, but i really wouldn't be very happy if CU miraculously ended up in the sec. it would suck. the thought of running back to the left behind dregs of the big 12 is also puke inducing. i like my road trips to Seattle, eugene, and the others. there really is no comparison to ****ing stool water, lames, whacko, little manhattan, etc. we are going to do whatever we are going to do, but not tailgating amidst a bunch of mouth breathing knuckle dragging science denying racists ****s is ok by me.

I'm not excited about it at all either, but when there's apparently $50 mill a year waiting in the B12 vs like $30 in the P12, I guess get us some tickets to mid America
