CU players in the NFL

After witnessing Amaris unbelievable game yesterday, I believe It is time we start up the 2025 NFL draft thread(focused on our buffs).

We know Travis and Shedeur are two guaranteed first rounders.

But.

Numerous other players have started to emerge as possible drafts picks, and even some potential early rounders.

I would create the thread myself, but let’s be real, it wouldn’t get the notoriety it deserves, with me being blocked by so many 🤣😭
Shedeur/Hunter Top 5 in 1st Round
Wester- 5th round
BJ Green- 6th round

Bentley/Shilo/Horn/Nwankwo/Cokes UDFA

If Okunlola declares he’s probably a top 3 rounder

Far less than I would have expected.

The real question is the details. How much is the buyout if he wants to leave, meaning how much would it cost one of the big name schools to hire him away. Also what is the bonus structure, how much did he get guaranteed that is outside of the contract with the school (coaches show money, guaranteed endorsement money, etc.) What kind of money did they guarantee him for assistant coaches and other expenses?

Even with all that I would have expected him to get much more.

Horn will get drafted when he runs a 4.30 in the 40-yard dash
He is a weapon that the NFL is still excited to find

The Broncos should draft Jimmy Horn, UDFA NHG and Shilo, then when the Raiders draft Shedeur, Prime will feel nice and comfy in Boulder because he has all his boys nearby. Travis will be stuck up in Boston sadly with the Patriots

very disppointing that both viska and p-rich pretty much flamed out after 4-5 years ...
Agreed,

Both had bad luck with injuries and didn't come back fully after them.

PRich's game was built off speed and quickness and lost both with the knee injuries

Viska got beat up trying to play WR like a fullback. I wish he had ended up with a coaching staff that would have been more selective in how they used him. I'm imagining Viska with for instance the Niners staff.

I’ll bet that Harbaugh gets something out of him.

Ehhh even if used properly, Viska had a mentality where he refused to go down easily even if it was for minimal gain. That leads to a lot of unnecessary wear and tear. Knowing when to go down is a skill that you can only coach so much. Very instinctual.

I agree with you completely. It didn't help that he played college ball with a QB and play calling that stretched him out in the middle for safeties and LBs to get free shots at his ribs but you are completely correct, sometimes making a business decision is best for the player and for his team. You don't help the team when you can't be on the field. Knowing when to go down is a career skill.
