Re: Jimmy Horn's fifteener that wiped out a TD. That rule is stupid. You can't take score off the board for that. Move the ball on the PAT or kickoff, sure, but to act like the play stopped there is just dumb.

BTW - I'm sure he got raked over the coals here and elsewhere for that, but dropping a "peace out" on a guy as you race past him is ****ing hilarious, and anyone who gets mad about it hates fun.
And hates world peace!!!

To be honest, I’m ok with the flag. They should flag taunting, and that’s what it was.

I loved it so much

Was it taunting? To me, taunting is something directed at others. I mean, it was in the direction of their sideline but was it directed at specific players on the field? Would it have been flagged if it was a message to a friend or family? Would it have been flagged if he’d just put his arm straight up and did the “V” sign to the sky.

That said, my very first thought when he did that was alarm. I was looking for a flag, which I never saw.

He flashed the deuces right in a cincy players face lol. It was awesome.

If that’s the case it deserved a flag. The penalty it received is arguable. It should be a warning to the bench that a similar taunt will result in a 15 yard penalty.

Taking a score off the board and moving the offending team back 30 yards is excessive given the importance of the game.

The one sensible take from the dip**** announcers last night was noting that Prime was the last person in the world who would be bothered by that from Jimmy.

Even though it was early and close, I loved that they obviously playcalled to give Jimmy a chance to get that TD.

I dig the POWER running game. Augustave is NOT shifty but he does NOT go down. Those OL pushing muddle-huddle type runs were incredibly effective.
Amazing coincidence?

We are still a long way from having a "dominating" running game but at least now it is a threat.

Notice how the games we are running the ball the pressure on Shedeur goes way down. He has more time in the pocket and when he does move there are fewer guys after him.

Not only have sack totals gone way down but so have pressures, as that is happening his completion percentage and average yards per pass are going up.

Have to wonder if Shurmur had a little closed door heart to heart with Prime about it.

Last night was really, really good though. I wonder what the success rate was; no explosive big gainers, but so many 4+ yarders.

Three yards, a cloud of dust, and the best WR room + QB combo in the country is an unstoppable offense; and was for the first 5 drives last night.

It would've continued if Shedeur didn't get hurt. They pretty clearly took their foot off the gas after that.

That QB + WR combination is so much harder to defend on 2nd and 6, 3rd and 3 than it is on 2nd or 3rd and 10.

Also all those 3-5 yard runs take a toll on the defense while giving the OL a chance to eat. Constantly pass blocking is tiring and stressful compared to run blocking.

When it mattered in the 4th quarter our OL still had it, the Cincinnati defense was dragging. The running game has a lot to do with that even without busting any big ones (and we were one step away at least a couple times, keep at it and they will come.)

His 48 yarder was also terrifyingly low, but it snuck through somehow.

So my seats are in 215, pretty low but still probably the worst seats for judging a FG attempt on the north uprights. We totally thought he missed it, but even the student section had a delayed reaction. It wasn't until the fans on the north side of the stadium started cheering that it kinda moved down to the rest of us. My buddy and I still kinda couldn't believe it.

I have never seen a taunting penalty pull a TD off the board. That was the dumbest ****.

Nor have I seen a play reviewed to evaluate whether a delay of game occurred. Which also would have taken a CU touchdown off of the scoreboard.

It wasn’t delay of game. They were reviewing to see if the snap occurred before the quarter ended. And it was close. But the snap was a fraction before the game clock went to 0:00.
