Games thread- MEN'S BBall opens season hosting Eastern Washington (Mon., 11/4/24; 7:00 PM MT; ESPN+) and No. Colorado (Friday, 7:00 PM MT; ESPN+)

Any score predictions for tonight? I'm guessing the game will be a little more even keeled. Buffs up by 4-5 at half then push it out in the 2nd for a 14-15 pt win.

That’s where I’m at for tonight’s game.

Buffs are still leaving wide open three point shots, not passing the ball out when double teamed which has led to turnovers, and passing needs more work. Given how many new players there are, this isn’t a surprise.

Looks a lot like Monday’s game. Malone and Hammond don’t do much for this team.
Not good when their 5-11 Zack Morris looking MFer is absolutely abusing our guards.

The refs are now calling against the Buffs because Tad chewed their azzes over a couple of garbage non calls.

You would think CU wouldn’t be leading by 2 at the half based on the way they are playing.

Malone is decent offensively but he can be beaten at the rim if the opponent moves quickly.

Diop is having his ups and downs.

The thing is, I think we've got a lot of good pieces and the talent is solid. But figuring out roles, being connected, establishing an identity and a winning formula is going to be tough without guard leadership. Someone has got to take the reins for this group to gel.

Tuned in with like 2 minutes left in the half.

Box score gazing, 10 turnovers is real bad. That translates to like 20 against a Big XII team.

I think Tad is going to have a lot of fun trying to coach this group into something that can be competitive every night, but it's going to be tough

I’m also noticing that the outside guys are not passing the ball to the wide open inside guy on those pick and rolls even with Malone open. I think we’d have the lead if the inside guys were getting the ball instead of passing the ball to another guy on the outside.

You need a PG for that.
