Buffs showed a lot of poise down the stretch. Well, other than that little turnover fest at the end.

USC hot from 3 in the 2nd half, Buffs ice cold and some home cooking from the refs. (How the hell does Kin get a foul called on him for standing in a spot and getting knocked to the court when the opponent pivots into him? That's a charge or a no-call.)

Getting a road win fairly comfortably despite that gives me a lot of hope for what this team is capable of.

Once again, bench play was really big for the Buffs in a victory. Barthelemy was able to give MW4 a break in the middle of the second half which of course meant Wright was rested for the stretch. Walker had key buckets in the first half as well as rebounds and some solid defense. And there was Tirstan da Silva who hadn't played in recent games. He too was solid for the most part in his six minutes and caught my attention in the first half with a well executed give and go with Walker.

The D was stout enough on the interior against a taller front line to make a difference. And of course the rebounding was solid as well.

We held the Mobley’s to 21 points, 12 rebounds and only 3 offensive rebounds. They average 29 and 17 and something like 7 or 8 offensive rebounds. Tad said limiting their offensive rebounds was a key. And we did it without Dallas.
I didn't catch why Walton was not playing. Injury? Illness? I figured his absence is the reason why da Silva got minutes tonight.

And totally agree about holding down the Mobeys' points. That was impressive.

Leg. Tad expects him back on Saturday.
