I just don't remember enough success to warrant injuring your best player. If you find a guy who has success, I think relying on the certainty of someone else stepping up is faulty.

Let me jog your memory.I just don't remember enough success to warrant injuring your best player.

Agree he will get better if given the duty.He only had the job for about half the season and showed enough in one game to make an impression. I do not think it is a stretch to say he can get better.
Teams stopped kicking to him after this performance.

Big part of winning that game. Got the icing TD, and the position for the tying points before that. We don't win the game without him. He got yards and yards that game.

He had 2 legendary plays last season...the TD against UM on a bad foot. He was a beast!!That facemask signaling from Sefo was legendary.
****ing exactly this you ****ing uniform pussies! The obsession with fashion among college football fans is troubling to me. I can honestly say that I give zero ****s about doing new uniform designs or what style Buffs hat our coaches decide to wear at practice. Carry on, though. It's clearly very important.
Don't be a dick****ing exactly this you ****ing uniform pussies!
Right. And you quit being a homer.Don't be a dick
Any time you can force your opposition to devote a portion of their game plan to stopping a specific player, you do it.
If he's up to it, I say let him spin. Risky yeah but might be a big boost for the team. Hell, we've had others do it in the past.I like Oliver on punt returns. Roll the dice IMO.
yep. The more the opposing D has to prepare for the better.This.
You don't have to play him a lot on offense to get into the heads of the opponents. Just enough to give them a solid distraction in preparation. Use him as a decoy and give him one or two shots to get the ball in the open field and make a game changing play.
We have enough depth at CB that they can selectively get him a few plays of rest there so as not to over use him.
yep. The more the opposing D has to prepare for the better.
Well. No ****.And if a guy like Oliver can give you a couple TDs or big gains it can be significant.
Well. No ****.
Is Bennion on the radar at all? Haven't seen any mention of him which is weird considering it's a position of special interest with our depth. Guessing he's a non factor at this point ??
I'm disappointed that Bennion is still only at 235 lbs. Even to play OLB he's 15-20 lbs light. And I always thought his future was in the Kafovalu role, which he's about 60 lbs light for.I think it's not well known at this point and too early to tell. He's been mentioned a few times so I think he's in the mix for some PT, depending on what some of the young guys do. You got DerekMac, Coleman, Hasselbach, Mathewes, Sparaco, Bennion and Callier all seeing a lot of work. I think you will see Bennion play on ST and perhaps against some power running teams. Like Mathewes, he is the last of the guys recruited to play 4-3.
I think we will know by the end of September if he's going to be a factor (ever) here or more likely to find more success in a different system somewhere. Sparaco seems destined to play as a True Frosh.
Well ****, dude. Never thought of that before. I'm glad you are here.Talking about big production in a very limited number of plays.
Kind of like Michigan used Peppers. He only had a few plays per game on offense, I'd use Oliver even less than they did Peppers. Design is though that they either pay him a lot of attention meaning somebody else is open or that you get him the ball in space and his athletic ability gets you big chunks of yardage. A lot of big games are decided by one or two big plays so this gives you a chance to change a game in a few plays.
If I remember correctly, Jackson single-handedly destroyed our comeback effort (specifically that pick that looked like it could tear a human in half). Just not sure I would call that over-rated.I thought Adoree was a great returner and overrated corner. Oliver is a great corner, but not sure he's good enough at returning to take on the risk. We have 20 WRs on roster. One should step up.
Irwin looks very quick. He's moving very well.
