Ladies and gentlemen, the Prime effect

Only advantage to FSU would be the local recurring base. I have said if a few times but Deion is creating something unique to benefit young men. There is no other Power 4 Program that would allow him to be so uniquely himself and create a culture divorced from "traditions" of the past. The HBCU connection is something that is underappreciated when it comes to Prime and the recent history of hiring in football by CU supports Deion's vision.

This is an interesting piece written to make a case for Miami getting a big-boy conference invite, but it also has a lot of good info on how Colorado stacks up in the TV ratings.

Miami U Knob-Slobber Article

To wit, CU has five of the top 50 broadcasts through the first 11 weeks:

Also interesting is the Buffs dominance of the late-night timeslot (10 PM or later ET). The late kickoffs suck for most of us, but they are ratings gold. Ignore the Miami highlight:

Ratings for CU here at the end of the season should continue to be outstanding. If the B1G and SEC are looking for value-add to the bottom line, there is no doubt that Prime and CU deliver.

It has been stated over and over and over when we were among the best programs that our dominance of the Mountain Time Zone was valuable, and with what Prime has done to make Colorado into America's team, that is true more than ever not just in the Mountain Time Zone.

If Prime signs on to something like a 5-10 year deal or even some kind of Long Term partnership, then CU could move to the B1G or SEC in no time.

I actually think the SEC would come calling along with Kansas and maybe the Arizona Schools to provide coast to coast coverage

I feel like this point has been discussed numerous times, but no sane tv exec is going to base a decision to invite a school on their current coach. CU, and any other potential school, will be evaluated on their historical average. CU should be fine when the super conferences come to fruition. Consistent success until then will help. Prime as the coach means nothing from an invite perspective.

My wife came downstairs on Saturday night and "made" me put on the replay of the game. When we got to Charlie's td, She teared up.

It's a weird time.
I think it means that she'd be into it if you grew a mustache. 👍

I know coaches in general are never very open about plans to leave a program, but the things CP is saying would be over the top. He would be a poor fit to coach in the nfl and he knows it. He is effusive in his praise of Colorado and how much he loves it there. I guess its a lot of wishful thinking by other fan bases, as well as a whole lot of buzz being generated solely to get clicks. If any place was offering, I would put down a sizable bet that he isn’t going anywhere, and I don’t gamble.

Cowboys are desperate. They're stuck with Jerry Jones who is beyond his prime as an owner.

We already know that with the success Coach Prime is having he's going to be rumored/hyped for SEC, B1G and NFL openings.

As long as we pay him what he deserves then I think he stays. If we can get to 10 mill/yr I think that would do it. Would put him in the top 5 of coaches and ahead of Cignetti who just signed for 8 mill
Prime is printing money for the University and community.

Saliman should give him whatever he wants in salary and resources. The ROI easily will cover it.

Agree 100% and would love us to make him the highest paid coach which he deserves and as a **** you and a flex to the rest of college football

CP isn't going anywhere.

I watch "Tubi" guite a bit and today they have the 1st episode of "We Got Time Today", CP's new talk show. They said 4 episodes. Just saw the beginning, he sees some recruiting value in the show.

Tubi is a really good TV/movie content provider. Free and they don't contact you.

What does Tubi have to do with him “not going anywhere?”
