Mel Tucker leaves CU for Michigan State

Meh, enough time has passed. If anyone recalls Rezjohn Wright (plays for Oregon State), he was a silent commit at CU but then eventually committed/signed with Oregon State because he wasn't going to be admitted to CU. Admissions leniency was absolutely one of the issues RG promised to MT and either knew he was lying or is as stupid as I think he is. Probably both.
That's also a sign that the administration above RG still doesn't give a ****-and its a huge problem.

I honestly just don't think enough people care about CU football and Tucker knew that. We had a supporters get together at a brewpub in Longmont and Tucker was there and we had perhaps 150 people show up. At a real football school, we'd had 1500 or 15000.
I don't know about this- it depends on how you define "real" football school. Attendance and support has been pretty good this year for such a ****ty product. I don't know of too many schools where there has been a sellout between a 1-5 team and 1-4 team this year.

Who’s 1-5?

Rezjohn was actually a verbal commit until admissions denied him.

Admissions is a major issue and not sure how it gets fixed.
Now that SAT’s and ACT’s are not being used, maybe it will be easier? That’s a question.

I was at both the WSU and UU games in 2016. The stadium was packed and the atmosphere was electric. Give people a winner and fan support will be there.
I was there for both of those as well. I think your memory is off a bit -- the WSU game wasn't even sold out in 2016, much less packed.

You have a different recollection than me then. Maybe my section was the only one that was packed. The attendance was over 48,000. The Utah game was over 52,000 which is, basically, a sellout.

it's come up a few times that in 2016 (our best season of the last decade), we only sold out one home game (UU)

Wasn’t CU at the top of the Pac in attendance as a percentage of capacity that year? Or am I confusing football attendance with basketball attendance?

Take Idaho St. and csu in Denver out of the equation we averaged over 48,000, or 92% of capacity. But yeah, I envy the Michigan’s and aTm’s of the world.

It goes beyond just admitting kids who are on the margins, academically. A true commitment would require not only allowing academic risks, but providing the requisite academic support those kids would need to succeed in addition to offering academic tracks that might be easier to handle for somebody in that position. CU has shown almost zero willingness to do any of those things.

Because he can. He actually gave CU a discount.
Milwaukee Bucks What GIF by NBA

Some one clearly said time to ban him. The whole talk of whether deplatform is cancel culture or not is irrelevant or misdirection. I think most of my post comes across as trolling because It is insane to agree with grumpy old men. For example I am no longer upset with Mel Tucker. CU should priotize teaching young men over winning. Against firing a coach after 5 games into a season with a young freshman QB. You can call me a troll.
Not a troll, an idiot.

A side bonus of doing this would increase the number of first generation college kids on campus (aka increase diversity).

Hello, friends. I have a few questions. How does one change their avatar on this bad boy to the ol’ green and white? Also, is there a “Boulder Insurance Company” because I need to know.

Does Mel like to be called MT or what? I want to ensure we have all of our ducks in a row before touchdown...literally.

It’s for reals, Buff bros as reported by the reliable and gigantic Hondo “I could easily eat a” Carpenter from MSU sources. He may be large, but he’s in charge of legit breaking stuff.

Got the flight tracker up already for an early arrival in EL. Things are moving fast according to donors here...

What assistant coaches do you think are good enough to tag along?
Hi.

You OK?
