Surprised it took so long to leave SDSU but more surprised he left for ASU with what they are going through.
As clownish as ASU appears, a lot of people look up to Herm and will want to work/play for him. Apparently.
This week, in schadenfreude:
He was not getting promoted at SDSU.
Didn't they say a couple of weeks ago that SDSU was offering him a promotion to try and keep him?
Maybe I misread, but thought I read he was "in the running" for the DC spot, a nice way of saying he had very little chance. ASU job is still a nice step forward in his career.
Would seem that Arizona's DC (Marcel Yates) is in the running for the HC job. That's the player's choice anyway.
That's a strong resume and I think he's a strong candidate. Any school looking for a DC, would be well served to jump on him asap. Or a G5 head coaching gig.
