Official 2017 Coaching Carousel Thread - Zona hires Sumlin

Yeah seems pretty average, no where near the program changing type hire that Chip Kelly was for ucla.

Sumlin has only 1 year where he had a winning record in the SEC.

His record at Home against SEC teams aren’t much better either.

South upgrading while we focus on APR
If MikMac stays CU is the designated cellar dweller for a while. Chip will have UCLA rocking shortly, CU has never beat USC, Tate will pants an Eliot coordinated D every time they play, ASU is unsatisfied with a guy posting 4 bowls in 6 years and winning .610, with a .570 conference record and we know Utah is 5-2 v. Cu since the P12 formed.

Not looking good.

ASU has aspirations of becoming a big time football and hoops school. Can't say it's impossible but I'm skeptical. Graham isn't a coaching genius but he's relatively solid and will be working again whenever he wants to
be.

Schiano at UT? My guess is that UT went UT. They talk big but skimp on things like AC salaries. It will be interesting to see the numbers. If they are a shade under market for the SEC, you know Schiano was the guy who agreed to work cheap.

Who but MM would take the Ole Miss job? Lots of better programs ending up with plan C.
