Agree.Alabama basically had a bye week in the playoffs.
Ohio State, Michigan State, Oklahoma, half the SEC, etc. There’s a difference between P5 and G5 programs. The commentators were saying it all game. Different level of players. Different level of coaches.Agree.
But wonder what other team you put in the playoff as a #4 seed would have given them a tougher game.
Bama dominated almost all aspects of the game but Cincinnati gave them a better battle than I expected. Other than maybe Ohio State which has two losses but a lot of talent what other team that didn't make the playoff would have given Bama a tougher match-up today?

There definitely is. But Cincy was arguably well within striking distance at the beginning of the 4th Qtr. Bama’s defense just came up strong at every key point in the game. The quickness of the Tide defenders is mind boggling. It was nice of Saban to be kind to Cincy. Basically went vanilla, didn’t exhaust any players and toyed with them the whole way.
Cincy DID NOT belong in the Final 4.

The game wasn’t a blowout.Alabama basically had a bye week in the playoffs.
Either Cincy, was wildly better than I expected, or Alabama kept it totally vanilla expecting to out athlete the Bearcats.I admit I'm one of the first to make fun of the G5 but at the same time I admit there is not a clear delineation between G5 and P5 because in any given season there are a number of G5 teams which are better then the bottom 15-20 teams in the P5.
Cincy played well defensively against Bryce Young and it appears their focus was on him but Alabama pretty much ran at will against them. Cincinatti definitely kept it respectable but it also never felt like Alabama was in danger of losing this game.
How could Bama lose when they were playing a one-woman team? They shoulda beaten CindyEither Cincy, was wildly better than I expected, or Alabama kept it totally vanilla expecting to out athlete the Bearcats.
I believe it was the latter, but hey, I fully recognize I am far from a football expert.
GD - IOS spell check is AAF. It took for tries to get Cindy to stick. Edit 2: I’m leaving that in this line so you see what I’m dealing with - it looks fine in thread before you post it. MF annoying.
While Bama did play somewhat vanilla, Cincinnati disrupted Bryce Young like few teams did this year. Bama's defense played very well and Brian Robinson, Jr. played fantastic.
Why? SEC rematch is something you want to see?Go Dawgs!

And, there is almost no announcer commentary on SkycastMaybe this is normal, but I was not aware:
Hulu offers the ESPN 'traditional', sideline view orientation and the ESPNU "Skycast", with the primary camera is behind the QB
This is the only way I watch big games. Very choice to avoid the dumbass commentary. And, there is almost no announcer commentary on Skycast
Nothing like watching your two biggest rivals making the national championship game. Kill me.
Is it really a rivalry when they have Saban and Smart while you have Harsin?
