Official 2025 Fall Camp Thread

He played on a 13-0 team his freshman year, albeit limited, and then played more on last years team that was entirely inept. He was slated to start this upcoming year for them. Coming to any conclusions on a guy in those circumstances is dumb and you don’t really have anything to base it on. Just a weird take
No…he wasn’t skated to start.

You’ve got a weird idea in your head that he’s really good…and that Prime would never take a flier on a guy.

This kid a flier. He didn’t leave FSU because they were bad, he left because his path to PT was murky at best.

I mean Jesus, there’s plenty of places to read reports about his time at FSU in various forums.

Massive physical talent. Not a good football player…yet.

Like I said, I hope our coaches unlock him.

Yes, he was slated to start last year, according to FSU’s 247, and likely would have been projected similarly this year.

Williams was projected to step into a starting role last season, but a hamstring injury suffered on a long touchdown catch in camp slowed him down for the first month of the season and Williams never got into a groove.

He then broke his thumb during a freak accident trying to protect a parent on the sideline from a misplaced pass this spring.

He was also in the rotation during their 13-0 season as a Freshman and was notable as a blocker, contrary to your assessment.

He ended up entering the rotation of a receiving corps that included Keon Coleman and Johnny Wilson as a rookie, distinguishing himself as a blocker and also showing surprising speed in a big frame on a touchdown reception against Syracuse. He also had a key catch in FSU's comeback win against Duke, but his season was cut short with an ankle sprain.

Seems like he just hasn’t been able to stay healthy to this point. Valid concern for a 5* caliber player, but it mostly sounds like you’re just pulling **** out of your ass.

Why does everyone think we will suck this year? Is it just we lost Travis and Shedeur and so we will definitely suck? I’m on the heartland college sports board and they are all good guys over there, but are all convinced CU is a bottom half of the Big 12 team. This team looks loaded to me.
Pretty much, yeah

In avg recruit rating, CU has ranked top 4th, 1st and 1st in the Big 12 during Primes first three recruiting classes. They’ve also done better than most other Big 12 programs in the portal over the last two seasons. CU is as talented as any program in the Big 12, if not more. Anyone suggesting CU isn’t a factor this year doesn’t know ball.

Because everyone continues to want to believe that Prime is nothing more than a fluke.

Funny thing is most sports publications even acknowledge Colorado is talented BUT they’ll still suck.

All hinges on the QB.
Fear of the unknown I suppose.

Prognosticators still have this weird thing about building lines through the portal.

They also seem to be ignoring that a motivated Salter is the kind if guy that can give you a 3000/1000 season with 30 TD passes

With the size of our OL, I’m ready for us to run the Power-I.

4 yards and a cloud of rubber particulate matter.

Trench warfare this year.

Cut and paste Yak's post liberally. Report back.

They want us to suck, so they think we’ll suck.

I just posted a Mountain-like behemoth of a post over there on this topic.

I think you are both right.
Coach Prime sucks and is a carnival attraction.
The team is all transfers and will never win that way.
Coach prime can't coach and is still full of transfers and won't win.
CU had an easy schedule and didn't beat anyone.
Shedeur isn't really that good and had a losing record.
CU lost a Heisman winner and a great QB (although not good enough to get drafted until round 5) and will take a huge step back.
Nobody mentions the overall growth of the team and the upward trajectory overall. All they care about is the hate for Prime and ways they can justify their hate.
I love where things are going and I love the hate and I love the Vegas win totals and I love going to games expecting to win.

I have to keep the CU Official website open all the time now so I can figure out who people are talking about when they say they suck and won't contribute. Those are usually the ones that will blow up at some point during the season.
