Official Best Locations to Receive “Go Buffs” Yells

Orange County has a fair?
The Orange County fair is actually a pretty good fair with all of the typical fair events. That said, I used to work the wine booth for the OC wine society and it was a blast. You worked 4 hours and received drink tickets For your work. They have a wine competition that includes a lot of big name wineries and whatever isnt used is auctioned off in the spring. A great way to stock the cellar

Hospital Clinica Bíblica, San José, Costa Rica.

Wearing my game day Buff shirt and getting someone settled in a hospital room, I’m washing my hands outside the room per protocol when I hear “is that a Buff out there?” come from the room next door.

I peak in and there’s a dude in the bed with various tubes and cords attached. He’s from Boulder and went to CU.

Go Buffs and get well soon, hermano.

Not a go buffs, but I was handing out candy on Halloween for our big time neighborhood event in Omaha - something like 5,000 people estimated this year. I had a trick or treater say “I don’t like your hat” to my Buffs stocking cap used to tie in my last minute impromptu Buffalo costume. I should have said “you know what this candy and the Buffs have in common? They’re both in a bowl!”

I spent 4 days in Manhattan (NYC) ending a few days ago to visit our daughter. Weather was great, so my only necessary source of warmth outdoors was my trusty Colorado Football hoodie. I lost count of how many "Go Buffs" I got just walking around and being on public transportation. The Deion Effect is real.

Were you near any courthouses?

I was running this morning at 4:30 (yea, ****ing nuts I realize). I typically see one or two other whackos at that hour, but today a woman and her dog were coming the other way. I saw her Buffs sweatshirt and instinctively yelled Go Buffs as she passed. I am afraid I shocked the hell out of her. She didn’t respond. Cool story.

I’m not sure there is anything you should shout to a female runner in the dark. Probably scared the hell out of her. It sucks that so few women can run comfortably when they want.

Whenever I’m walking or running in the dark, if I see a lone woman on the street, I’ll usually cross the street to give them a wide berth and make them feel comfortable.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve shouted Go Buffs to someone to be met with a look of shock for a few seconds (like why is this large gray beard shouting at me?!!?) which turns into a smile and a return Go Buffs. I’ve been on both ends of that equation. Takes a minute for the brain to process.
