Official Bowl Season Thread

Ohio State can't get a championship, and OU once again shows that the Big 12 is no more "elite" than the Pac-12.

All is well. Sucks that we have to have another all-South championship game, but it's worth it.

Seriously though - what's it going to take for the committee to say 'no more' to OU?

Oklahoma is now 0-7 in bowls with the national title on the line since they last won one in 2000.
3 straight BCS title game losses and 4 straight playoff losses.
Don’t get me wrong, I would love to have the success OU has had, but damn that’s gotta be frustrating as a fan.

yup... but you can't win if you don't enter. Just a matter of time.

One of my main takeaways from yesterday, particularly last night, is explosive playmakers scoring from outside the red zone is big. Just about every TD in that Clemson-Ohio State game was on an explosive play. Even the most talented and speediest teams cannot stop playmakers in space.

Planned short passes to Etienne were superb design/calls.

Riley is not stupid. Knows this is important. Fired Mike. Hired Grinch. Brought in Ruffin. Changed recruiting on D side. He’ll fix it. Process. He acknowledged it after game.

And they did play a historic O undermanned at 4 key positions.

Time will tell. But he knows what to do. Smart cat.

I think he puts his defense in bad spots too often when he starts playing fast. OU had zero shot in any scenario, but especially a shootout.

To your point, the size differential between LSU's offense and OU's defense was staggering.

Riley will most likely be gone soon. Seems like the common factor of the top tier teams is a really good Dline.
