I get what Frost is doing there. He is selling a false narrative in the hopes it will come true somehow. We had a guy here who did that a lot. Eventually, one of two things happens - they actually improve and get better or the bull**** he’s spewing is exposed as such and the entire thing collapses. He has this year and next to turn things around. If he goes into year 4 with three non-bowl seasons, the players will likely tune him out and his act will wear thin.

I agree with that, but I think he's going to get all 7 years of that contract. They know they're dead if they brought back Fusker Jesus and he can't figure out how to win there.

Sigh...I'll mail in my usual responses:
1. We HATE nebraska. The size of the thread demonstrates our hate not our envy.
2. Envy is reserved for fans of other teams that visit this site.
3. It would be weird if we were envious of a team that resides in an average town in a ****ty state that we've beaten twice in the last two years.

I agree, it is epic. 267 pages of you making excuses and guarantees and then disappearing for large chunks of time after the games.
I envy what Alabama, Clemson and OSU have done. Nebraska? Who would envy a team that has gone 8-16 in back 2 back seasons? When OSU mops the floor with you tonight all of BIG 10 and the old Big 12 will let out a hearty laugh at your expense. All while nebraska fans will once again be left to telling us how relevant they are.
nebraska fans are a lot like Yankees, Red Sox and Patriots fans just without any of the success. Come to think of it, you’re the Cowboys of the NCAA.

That one has the #1 team/ defending national champ in a regional conference matchup. UNC, like NU, is a middling P5 team with some playmakers who can give the game some exciting moments.

Popularity of both programs. Also, Nebraska was preseason top 25 and ranked until week 3. Wonder if the game was already chosen by ESPN a few weeks ago

Good blog on the TV selection process. ESPN had the top Big 10 section for this week-and Fusker vs. Ohio State was really the only choice to put there. FOX had the #1 and #2 picks for the Pac 12-so no way ESPN could have gotten USC-UW.
