Nebraska coach Scott Frost gave some clarity as to why sophomore running back Maurice Washington spent the first half of Nebraska's 13-10 won over Northwestern on the bench.

Adrian Martinez isn't having the greatest season, nor is he showing much improvement, if any, over last season....therefore they aren't all that concerned about his injury this time around and aren't passionately looking for a scapegoat.
The refs are always the scapegoat. Nebraska has only two things that can defeat them - the refs and themselves.

Add the B1G schedule makers to the list. They are complaining that they (along with MSU) were the only 2 B1G teams to have to play 7 straight weeks before they got a bye.
And the big red store in Estes Park.
Bye week is going to hang 62 on the Huskers this weekend...it's gonna be ugly!
But not as ugly as things could become if the Huskers lose to Indiana at home next weekend then follow it up with another loss to the other team from Indiana in Purdue. Key stretch since Nebraska finishes with Wisconsin, @Maryland, and @Iowa.

They've got no shot against Wisconsin (who might make the CFP) or Iowa (who is better than they are). Maryland is beatable for them.
