For the most part, I just find Nub fans to be myopic and boring with a poorly developed sense of humor.

Basically, the type of people who would go on a vacation to Paris and lecture a waiter on why corn fed beef is better than the grass fed they are serving and have no concept that they were being obnoxious rather than kind & helpful.

Dunno. The ones I talked to mostly recognized the deep issues that Nebraska football faces.

Regardless, I find it interesting that the older boosters are putting up with the moral turpitude from Frost. Same folks ran Bo Pelini out of town over his brother Carl's shenanigans - and Bo was winning.

*iirc, Carl had an affair with a booster's wife and was also rumored to have a drug problem

Frost is arrogant. We have seen that repeatedly as he throws players under the bus for losses since they certainly couldn't be his fault when they fail.

I think he clearly believes that he can turn the program around. Despite all the evidence so far he sees himself as the man to return kNU to their glory days.

He also knows that at this point his time there has been a huge failure in the eyes of the college football world. He was "the" hot coaching prospect when he took this job, at this point he would be lucky to get a P5 coordinator job of a mid-level G5 head coaching job.

Eddie O will get another gig. He's too good a recruiter to be done-and he's one of a select few in the game with a championship (even though Joe Brady should probably get most of the credit) in the sport right now.

I'd hire him at CU. We could do much worse.

Eddie O will get another shot. He has a national championship.
Frosty has a make-up title at a G5 school and a disaster at his P5 job, big difference.

I’ve posted it before but one of my childhood friends is the Kenny Bell for ****braska baseball: he grew up a Buffs fan but played baseball for them and obviously they’re his #1 team now but he still roots for CU too. Some unfortunate injuries ended his career there but he started working in the football department around 2015. He no longer works there but still maintains connections and gives me info every now and then for the lulz.

Not trying to be obnoxious “scoop” guy, but to my knowledge, I was the first person to post on a message board that Adrian Martinez had turnover issues, specifically fumbling the ball. I got this info from my buddy in the spring but wanted a way to prove it before I posted here about it. I would check 247 daily to see if any of their insiders or writers or anyone would confirm it but those homers were all sunshine, all the time. With no real way to prove it, I finally found (in the fall!) a practice shot that showed how careless he could be with the ball and posted it here as an example. I also posted that 247 had an article that made me go ??? about Tre Bryant being back and better than ever because I knew he was about to medically retire, and finding a back to replace him was going to be an issue for our first matchup.

Aside from other examples, I have called their exact win total every year since Tanner Lee was “looking like a first round pick” in the spring until this year where I legitimately thought they’d win 5 (I guess they still could). This was Frost’s best chance at a 2016 CU type year - super seniors everywhere on defense mixed with an experienced QB and some talent on offense. I would never bet money on a ****braska win but I would have told people to stay FAR away from the Illinois game. Turns out, Frost is just that much of a fraud.

Anyway, I also listen to their radio bits from time to time and I follow a couple of ****braska twitters I trust (people who have shown not to be homers). I’m biased and wrong often but I’d appreciate if our resident visitor didn’t ascribe my posts as bunk or out of touch with reality. I keep a decent pulse on their program.

Absolutely no surprise in reading the comments.

Sad that the diverse group of student-athletes at Nebraska choose to play thus representing and entertaining these people who claim to be fans.

Would have been appropriate and shocking if at least the senior members of the team had chosen not to play.

Also, lots of folks seem to think that the National Anthem is about honoring military veterans. Not sure where that comes from.

The amount of MAGA and military honoring at tOSU game was intense. It was Veterans Day weekend, however.

I did like the military bugler playing reveille from on-high to get things started.

CU has done less to recognize Veterans Day than any other school I've ever attended for a football game on that holiday's weekend.

Wasn’t the camo sideline gear last week a veteran’s day thing? I saw a handful of other coaches with that around the country.
