1. What were we making with our 3rd tier TV stuff on FOX College Sports and the old Big 12 tv deals? There's no way its even close to what we make now as a Pac 12 member. So yeah-this move was about money over academic culture or alumni bases.
2. Aggie makes more off the SEC's tv deals now than they did when they left the Big 12. That was all about money, just like that "we're mad as hell and won't do a damn thing about it" statement A&M's president put out over the weekend. Last thing here-if they're done getting pushed around by big brother and wanted out, the Pac 12 would offer them membership tomorrow. Why? $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
3. In a roundabout way, we killed the Big 12 when we ended ****braska football's glory years 20 years ago in November. If the Nubs had continued to win in the early 21st century like they did in the 90s, UT doesn't get the cache to pull the "bend the knee" kind of stuff they have over the last decade. (ESPN still thinks ****braska is a bit of a brand-they did send GameDay/Fowler to Lincoln in 2019 for a 41 point loss to Ohio State that everybody outside of Lincoln knew was coming).
4. You bet they would-but the SEC doesn't want them. The ACC's TV deals are as bad as ours are. Thats why Wetzel/Thamel brought up some sort of partnership between the ACC and P12 even though that makes no geographic sense.
5. Just so you're clear as to the Dr. Phil I was referring to in my previous post-its this guy:

- If that were the case Texas and OU would have left too. I get that it's easy to cherry pick to prove your point but I could just as easily do the same by picking schools that didn't bolt to conferences offering more money. Money is a huge consideration, but to say that's the ONLY reason A&M and CU left is just not correct.... otherwise every other $$ programs would have left too or conferences would have invited them. Of course, money plays a huge part and will continue to do so, but it's not the end all - is my point.

- see above. And LARRY SCOTT would, who is an idiot. Pac 12 still probably would but had to get the shot in at the expense of Larry Scott.

- not sure what your point is here

- The SEC doesn't want Duke and UNC?? LOL. I'm guessing you think they also don't want Clemson. I can tell you first hand many many people in ACC, including many Clemson fans, want nothing to do with the SEC and are perfectly content where they are. If it were truly about money, Clemson would be gone yesterday. Yet they seem intent on sticking around... hmm
5. I know. Still not up to him, dumb***.
In all seriousness, I'm just pushing back and tone seems harsher than it needs to be. Would prefer not fighting on internet board.
