OSU game fallout thread

I’ll take high profile SEC coordinators over “hey, sac state has a great up-and-coming Running backs coach...” that CU is going to hire in the summer of 2021 after macintyre wins 6 games total over the course of the next two and a half seasons.

Guess our best bet for bowl eligibility is that Viska gets healthy and completely pulls a game out of his ass.

So we'd be looking at $9M.

BUYOUT
The liquidated damages section of MacIntyre's contract does not appear to have changed from the original contract. Here is what MacIntyre must pay CU if he terminates his contract early:
  • 1. If deal terminated in first contract year (2017): $2.3 million
  • 2. If deal terminated in second contract year (2018): $1.9 million
  • 3. If deal terminated in third contract year (2019): $1.6 million
  • 4. If deal terminated in fourth contract year (2020): $1.3 million
  • 5. If deal terminated in fifth contract year (2021): $1 million
If MacIntyre is fired without cause, he is entitled to claim the remaining balance of his base and supplemental salary, as well as the total amount for items 1, 2 and 3 of incentive salary listed above.

So we'd be looking at $9M.

Plus $300K/year in incentives (even if he’s not the coach), it ends up being $10 million.

So we'd be looking at $9M.

Really, in the second half it was alMost as if the coaches had never seen football played before. Everyone else in stadium saw this loss coming at the start of the 4th Quarter, and the coaches seemed absolutely clueless.

This whole firing/buyout discussion is nonsense. Ain't gonna happen, 100% guaranteed. Can't afford it, admins don't care, Boulder doesn't care ... and he was National COY 2 years ago!

The only good season that happened with this current regime and program was because of DC Jim Leavitt and resides in Eugene with the Ducks.

Just keepin it real.
Bingo. I was hoping Mac would take another job and we'd promote Leavitt.

It seems like fantasy land that MacIntyre gets any traction as a P5 head coach in the south. Maybe Georgia Tech. Maybe Wake Forest. Nobody in the SEC looking his direction. UNC ain’t doing it.

The grass tastes better in Boulder

Leavitt accomplishec more as a HC than MM can even dream of....
And then **** went to hell in a big way. Leavitt isn't a high caliber head coach at this point. You don't think just about anyone can put together a winner at a school in that location that's as big as USF is?
