Cignetti is 63 years old, I do not see him being the kind of guy that would run around and find another job at this point.
It is worth it to Indiana to pay him $10 Million a year and run with him from now on

Considering that their SEC equivalent - Kentucky - made a similar move with Stoops it's not unprecedented to be able to parlay that conference money to keep a coach.

It's very rare, and he frequently bails out and tries to extend the play. Of course he's checked down more than zero times, but his tendency is to seek the big play much more often than most guys.
