Other Games 10/29 - 11/2 Buffs bye week.

Just not my cup of tea.

It just feels entirely contrived and over the top.

If he was a baseball announcer, he'd have a screaming signature call for bases empty singles on soft liners over the shortstop's head.
I enjoy his calls.

But there's no one today on play-by-play who makes a game feel like an EVENT the way Musburger, Costas and Keith Jackson used to.

If BYU and Iowa State finish with 1 loss or less each, yes.

If a 2-loss team Big XII is vying for an at large bid I think it's about 30-60% chance they get it depending on other results.

Yeah, I'd say 13-0 BYU and 12-1 ISU both get in. 13-0 ISU and 12-1 BYU definitely both get in, BYU is more highly regarded nationally for some reason.

If ISU loses to KSU, it gets dicier. 11-1 ISU might get in, 11-2 KSU definitely doesn't. If BYU and KSU win out, and KSU beats BYU, both probably get in.

I'd say that if we don't get a chance to play in the CCG (and I don’t think we will), we probably want BYU and ISU to both go 12-0. I think that guarantees us two spots.

Chris Fowler is quickly getting to that level for me. He's really good at not making it about him-like Gus and Tessitore do, but nails the big game part of it.

Brad Nessler is also excellent.

I like Harlan the most, even though he's best at basketball. And then Fowler after that.

I like Palmer as a color guy.

I think a lot of it is nostalgia and personal experiences, but Joe Buck is probably the best big game guy out there right now. Al Michaels used to be that guy but he sucks now. He just keeps collecting checks while doing a really really poor job, IMO.

If we want Oregon to not win the Big Ten, we need OSU to win. OSU showed that they are a good as Oregon and will have an advantage in Indianapolis.

PSU, otoh, ****s their pants in the big moments every single time.

I don’t really care who wins the B1G, I want CU to have a path to an at large bid which is going to require 1 loss teams to lose. If Penn State loses today and then Ohio State beats Oregon in the B1G CG, that’s three 1 loss B1G teams, all of which will get in. Same **** with the SEC.
