Other games weekend of 10/18-10/20

I just cannot watch this game anymore! Bad CSU team combined with a brutal color contrast. My eyes hurt. Maybe I can switch my TV to black and white.

Just noticed on my ESPN App that Utah has a 70+% FPI chance to beat USC! We actually want them to beat them correct?

Yes

Yes, yes we do.

Turned it back on just in time to see CSU kick a perfect onside kick for Boise to return for a touchdown.

What an incompetent program.

CSU keeps playing like this and Boise is going to kill that poor dog.

something about OU @ TCU.....makes me think the Frogs could give OU trouble. TCU hasn't been very good this year but they still play good D and have some playmakers. OU's D has to be a mess. fire the DC who is the brother of the former HC who won a billion games in 15 years or so and those brothers recruited all those guys....on a bye week....hire a former Tech DC....does that feel like the story that makes your D that just got toasted by your rival better? better than the TCU offense....which is also bad?

TCU's losses are to Ohio State, @Texas and Tech (TT only scored 17)....not like losing to Troy. and two games ago the Frogs beat everyone's darling ISU. who has since won @Ok State and whooped WVU.

Doesn’t Utah beat USC, like, every year? It’s like KSU and Texas (except this year).

yeah, it's not fair to run it out....this is not a good Darth Snyder team.....though they did pound OK State last week. the only team falling faster than Cal is Ok State. jesus. i like Gundy.

i would love to see UU beat the Trojans on an aesthetic level but also because it keeps us alive.

army has won big against the spread the last 3 games as road dogs ......8.5 faves at home against Miami OH.....i might roll the dice with the Knights. hard to know what Michie Stadium means. not like there is a lot of hometown grads in a college town....like most places.

not a gambling degenerate.....i like Army and the option.

Thought the same thing - TCU with their pretty good O and OU with their not pretty good D.
I've also said I think Clemson doesn't get through undefeated, but I don't think NCST is going to be that team.
I'm pulling huge for WSU, 'cause I hate Oregon.

I can't help but feel bad for Bobo and his auto-immune disease. That **** is brutal and nobody deserves to suffer through it.
I agree, but I can think of a few that deserve it. OJ, Bradlee Van Pelt, Scott Frost, I could go on.:D

For those of you that watch GameDay, please explain that Bear guy to me. 1, you can't understand him and 2 he gets to decide 3 of his favorite games each week and is lucky if he ends up 50% on the year. I admittedly am not into the gambling side of sports, but do have a general understanding. It seems like any random CFB fan could achieve similar results.

I think his draw is that he looks and sounds like a cartoon character, and adds another level of “analysis “ to the games, creating more reaction.

Fun segment on the WSU old crimson flag godfather.

Also nice cameo by Wazzou’s RV parking and RV tailgating.

Targeting in college is this years catch/no catch controversy. That Auburn kid got lucky. Lowered his head and hit high. Rule was intended to stop that action, instead only getting kids that make less dangerous head up tackles that happen to contact facemasks.

What is targeting? There has to be some sort of consistency on these calls but just like a catch in the NFL it is very unpredictable and it makes me not want to watch.

/end weekly crappy officiating rant, for now

Aero types faster. Same hit and same opinion.

A catch in the NFL and targeting in college are whatever the ref decides at the time.

I thought the review crew did a good job on that call. Refs did the right thing by throwing the flag because in real time it looked like he went helmet-to-helmet. But in slow mo from one of the angles it was clear that he went into the receiver's shoulder pad and didn't hit his head at all.

What about the "blow to a defenseless receivers head and neck area" part of the rule?

He didn't hit him in the head or neck.

I don't think we want to take out the ability to hit a receiver while he's trying to catch a pass, do we? It was a big hit into his shoulder. That's football and there's no concussion safety issue there. It can't be a penalty and for this to still be football.
