Other games weekend of 11/17-11/19

The tOSU @ Sparty game could be a lot more interesting than I thought it might be going into this weekend. The weather there is horrible right now ... windy as hell and what looks like a mix of rain and snow.

Been a lousy year for Michigan State but they have a guy who is recognized as one of the best coaches in the business and they still have some talent. If the weather is that bad this may set up for them to get the win that makes their season a lot easier to take.
 
Jeebus ... the SEC schedule today is an absolutely ****ing joke. And the one somewhat interesting game (UF @ LSU) has already erupted in a pre-game brawl.

SEC! SEC! SEC!!

Giving up 54 points at home to Northwestern is not what I expect from a Dantonio defense, but they had somewhat of a "get right" game last week shutting out Rutgers. We'll see.

Hope they really do though, I never mind seeing tOSU lose.

Sparty up a TD right off the bat on a 64 Yd screen pass for TD.

Sort of like how they came out strong against Michigan. Let's hope Sparty can play big all day.
 
Maryland is getting torched by Ryker Fyfe :sick:

Apologies for ever implying they had a chance at Nebraska. Still can't believe Minnesota lost to them but man, what a conservative and terrible offense they run.
 
So, the B1G 10 has four of the top 8 teams in the CFP rankings and along with the SEC are considered the top two conferences this season.

Can we talk about the hot garbage that is Rutgers and Maryland? I'm not sure Rutgers would win more than 3 games if they were in the FCS, and Maryland probably wouldn't win more than 5 or 6 games if they played an FCS schedule.

Meanwhile the Pac-12 takes its lumps because EWU beat Washington State early in the season, can we talk about how NDSU beat Iowa, who just beat Michigan?

I feel like most of the "strength" of the B1G is based on Wisconsin beating a "Top 10" Auburn team who is a back end of the top 25 team and Ohio State beating Oklahoma whose best wins are the mediocre Texas teams.

Looks like you might be right! MSU just got a fumble.
 
Well, Michigan did beat us and Wisconsin beat LSU. The Pac-12 has no quality OOC wins. Hard to the Pac-12 is better by any measure.

Sagarin likes both divisions of the Pac12 better than both divisions of the B1G10. That's one measure, that's objective and comprehensive.

Okay. I still maintain the Pac-12 is rightfully being punished for doing poorly in non-conference play.
 
on espn top 25 "scores" page last night.....they have stubhub prices for every game.....Terps @ Bugeaters was the lowest priced ticket of the whole list.....at 9$.

say it ain't so greatest fans on earth? and they are "back" (again)...9 stinkin' bucks? that's less than a good 6 of IPA. all the other games are in the 30's, 50's, more. one other at 14$....don't remember which. cut rate ticket prices at Memorial Stadium?

i don't miss the red polyester much. sansabelts forever.

This MSU-OSU game is terrible. Both teams throwing in windy conditions, which especially makes no sense for MSU when their QB is hot garbarge and the longer the possessions the better for them. How some of these O-coordinators keep their jobs is beyond me.

Edit: MSU is god-awful. Hope the committee sees this game and decides OSU isn't deserving of a CFP appearance without the conference championship

Anyone think that UCLA picks off USC today? I think it will be close, UCLA grasping at a last gasp for bowl eligibility. Same goes for Cal against Stanford.

just to add....UF@LSU is a rescheduled game from Oct. 8. so, minus that....eeesh.
 
Coaches lose their minds in pressure situations, the 2 would have done nothing for MSU and now they'll lose.
