Their issues are internal, so I guess that would be the only issue. That probably won't last forever. Without those issues, its probably the best job in the nation.Is it even the best job in the Big 12?

There are most certainly deep rooted issues and not sure how you completely fix it. However, a good president and AD can hopefully mitigate that. Mac is a better politician than coach. He’s a good old boy that will politely laugh at a racist/sexist joke and somebody who can code switch and relate well to young people. That kind of coach is a very rare breed - too rare for college football. The boosters are immovable given how they basically install the AD because of their donations and willingness to pay for endless buyouts. Part of the reason Texas moved on from Herman is because of the down turn in recruiting the state of Texas. I am not sure if that was a Herman issue or more of an assistant coach issue.Some good coaches/recruiters on that staff.
