Thoughts on next year

I think this is 100% true. If they go back to being a 10-2/9-3 team it will be a success, and it will be a success...but Pelini was already doing that. Most of the Corn guys I talk to say that he was nuts and had to go for that reason alone.

The years of the undefeated season are over for Nebraska. Just don’t see them beating Penn, Michigan, Iowa, OSU, Mich State all in one year. Don’t even think Bama could do that.

What “helps” the Corn fans argument about Pelini and Solich is that no one else signed either of these guys when they were shown the door.

Also, I also thought Diaco was supposed to some kinda badass DC or something. What happened there?

Diaco is an East Coast Douchebag that is always trying to be the smartest in the room. That stuff does not play well West of the Mississippi with down home people and kids, I have friends in Nebraska also that said that most people wanted to punch him in the face. He pretty much bad mouthed the players techniques and ability to learn his magic defense. The defense is broken, so hopefully they are still messed up when we roll in.

Ha. There are parts of Omaha for the most part that have great cost of living but West-O (Elkhorn-ish) is actually pretty crazy but I'm comparing that to where I live in Tampa.

Any good athletic QBs that the Huskers have on the team right now or will that have to be addressed via recruiting?

Oooh looks like we might be turning QB Adrian Martinez who gave a verbal to the Vols. We really need a dual....and a good one. A-Magic...ehhh??? EHH?? Anyone? No?

:/ k

I was wondering.. how good is the PAC suppose to be? Especially with Rosen, Darnold, Falk, and Browning all graduating/going to the NFL. I believe that at least for QB's this could be a rebuilding year for some offenses and our offense "should" be really good.

USC will be able to replace Darnold - they have 4 star QBs on the bench - Jack Sears. Even without great QB performance they have plenty of talent. Ditto for UCLA, they have more talent than their record indicates and Modster seems ready to take over the QB position. I have seen nothing on Browning leaving - I expect him to be back.

If he can run like Taylor I'm all for it but no, no relation.

Dude did not even play his senior year with a bad wing and will need at least 1-2 years to get back up to speed and learn the offense. I do not plan to see him on September 8th!!! If we do see him, then Frost has you guys on the slow boat to 6 wins if you are lucky in 2019. Talking to my Husker friends, they are betting that Gebbia (sp?) wins the job in 2018, Lee goes pro, and O'Brien transfers.
