Travis Hunter Appreciation Thread (Awards: HE12MAN, Walter Camp, Biletnikoff, Bednarik, Lott, Paul Hornung, AP PotY)

The MWC was just utter trash this year. The big12 wasn't murder's row, but was significantly better.

There's both empirical evidence suggesting as much (Big12 was 6-2 against the MWC this year; the only losses were Kansas and Houston (two teams that finished bowl ineligible and with losing conference records) losing to UNLV, the second strongest team in the MWC) and metrics that suggest that the B12 was much better:
  • Sagarin would have the hypothetical average B12 team as a 3.5 point underdog vs. BSU and favored against every other MWC team by at least 3 points on a neutral field.
  • Sagarin would have the hypothetical average MWC team as at least a 3 point underdog to every single team in the B12
  • Sagarin would have BSU as a favorite against 10/16 B12 teams on a neutral field. UNLV would be favored against 6/16 B12 teams. Every other MWC team would be an underdog to ANY B12 team.
There's a very good chance that if BSU had an average B12 schedule that they'd be sitting at ~9-3 or 8-4 right now.

I won’t comment on her intentions but it was pretty wild that during a scheduled fan photo shoot event the day after the Heisman (with tons of cameras on her and audibly loud enough for Travis and fans and surrounding folks to hear) to say “what am I supposed to do, just sit here all day”.

Let the man enjoy his moment, insanely selfish thing to say. And that’s not even mentioning that Prime had to tell her to stand up when Travis was announced as the winner.
I think that she is unaccustomed to sharing him this much with everyone else. I think she says this part of his life as “his thing” and doesn’t require her involvement. The optics aren’t good for her, but relationships like these are complicated because they’ve been together since they were high school young.

I assume that Travis, Shedeur and Shilo are all receiving their $$$ through real endorsements and that none have taken any from the collective. I also imagine Seaton might "graduate" into that category at some point as well. I have to imagine so much of their endorsements are done through the SMAC Entertainment relationship and the 5430 is there to help supplement the guys who aren't getting those real endorsement deals.

It's also probably why that NCAA report on collectives has CU as a middling Big 12 when we know we have more money and draw than Iowa State.

Seaton is actually listed as a client on their website.

Them not taking money from the collective doesn't surprise me, but to hear Travis is a major contributor did. That's above and beyond.

It's the "ace-in-the-hole" that Prime has that nobody else really does and I would bet there's an agreement between Prime's manager who founded it (along with Michael Strahan) that they only work with CU/CP players in the NIL space. It's almost a guarantee that Juju will be listed on their website fairly soon.

What I only just noticed: Shedeur, Travis and Shilo are listed with a "NIL client" remark, Seaton is listed as a "regular" client. Just like Erin Andrews, Whiz Kalifa or the Bella Twins.
