They had to fire Bobo-that fanbase has been at a very low point here for the last few months. They expected to get blown out by us, and attendance has steadily plummeted (and hit a new low in their home finale against Boise) the last couple years. They had to go retread. Hot P5 coordinators like Sparkles was when he took that gig aren't going to look at it right now. They don't have to prove themselves in the Group of 5. They just picked the wrong retread.
CSU fans never show during losing seasons. They could hype next year's chances, independent of the coach, and the only thing that's going to get fannies in the seats is to look competitive. Bobo or Addazio will have to show the fans that and it can be done in literally a half of football. In fact, the chances of being competitive next year drop given they will change offensive systems again.

The do-gooders at lamb nation are already beating the drums about coming out and beating CU’s ass in the opener. We will see how well
Those comments age.

True, but they usually get amped for us no matter how bad they're supposed to be. I'm sick of that series-I hope RG tells Mel to score as much as he ****ing can on them in HC Dude's first game as the head goat. Its a waste of an OOC spot to play them.

I think Addazio is a bust hire. csewe got taken. Urbs got one of his boys a job to slide into retirement with...bad optics. There were so many other choices that seem so much better. Neuheisel, Jones, Wilson, Graham, RichRod...I don't know if any of those guys would have accepted the job, but there were a lot of other choices out there which could have been better. Addazio is what 60? An East Coast guy with few recruiting ties out here, and a pretty average record overall. Most of the coaches I named have experience out west. This just has a disaster written all over it. Tony Alford would have been an immediate favorite, but I don't know if he would have been best.

I woundn't hold your breath, we couldn't even do it to our own stadium on one of the most important home games in a while.

Theirs is 2/3 the size of ours. If 24-27k Buff fans buy tickets for it, we've taken it over. Fusker nation started talking about taking over Folsom for this year basically the minute they thought we stole the 2018 game from them. It wouldn't be that hard.....especially if we started a thread on it well in advance. I know I hate this series to the point where I won't go to games with them but I'd go if we started an effort to embarrass them by taking over their stadium. We do something like this we give our athletic director more ammo to end this series permanently on top of what he's already got or force them to come to Folsom if they want to play us.

No way. Seriously?

Yes. Per footballscoop and their fan board. I'm actually intrigued by it as a UNC alum, but he needs solid people around him. They wanted somebody with ties to the school, but they had that in Earnest Collins and he was a major flop. I don't think he's got much in the way of coaching experience outside of Valor, so he needs to build a solid staff, but that level program has to recruit this state well, and his name still means a ton in this state/area.

It’s easy to admire the gamble when you don’t give a damn about the UNC football program. I mean, sure, I guess I admire it in the same way I admire a guy who goes all in when he has a pair of 4’s, because hey, everybody else might fold.
