#Fire Coach Dorrell

Yeah good luck with that. Several coaches rejected the job. Mel Tucker left for Michigan state. Some times a program that is down for over 15 years, should allow a guy to rebuild the program. The guy is obviously qualified. Coached at UCLA for 5 seasons.Every season he has been a College Head coach, his team has gone to a bowl game. But well good luck. I am off to watch football.

Lets review his record...

Time will tell I guess. And I buy the argument that some stability could help. Having so many underclassman on offense isnt helping

I'm as frustrated as anyone, but there's no way KD is going anywhere. Besides, he deserves a chance to at least bring in his own OC. I heard he wanted to bring in his own guy when he brought in, but wasn't allowed to.

Exactly

KD may not even be the guy. But it is extremely premature to fire him at this stage. No hot shot fantasy Cordinator will turn the team into a success overnight. The next coach will still have underclassmen to coach up. Will still have the problem of several years of bad recruiting on the OL to fix.

If that's the case, KD has to be allowed to come back next season and get his guy unless it's Langsdorf.

There is an idot on this board who used to defend Hawkins against the growing crescendo of unrest. Don’t be like that moron.

And he must fire Chandler. He has to fix O and R. Or he must leave.

I think it’s obvious that we are stuck with KD through 2021 and 2022. Unfortunate because there are some guys who would probably be pretty solid candidates who might get snatched up between now and when we ultimately cut bait.

Enjoy the suck, guys. We are in for a long haul.

I’m not asking for success at this point. I’d just like to see basic competence on the field. It’s a pretty low bar and this staff isn’t meeting it.

Based on his contract language, I think KD is here through 2023. He’ll set the bar incredibly low this year then the admin will point to progress next year when we “improve” to 4-8 which will justify (in their minds) giving him that 4th season. I shudder typing that.

I used to want 8-9 wins a year on the average and a challenge for a conference championship every other year or so, and be a CFP team every 4-5 years.

Now I would just settle to be .500 and get a crummy bowl game.

I love the optimism, but i really don't see four wins next year.

The easiest game should be AFA, but, hell, that's on the road and I don't believe there will be enough fans at Falcon Stadium to make it feel friendly.

Look at next year's schedule. They aren't winning 4 games.
TCU in Boulder, AFA in the Springs, Minn on the road ... and the Pac 12 slate this year but filp home teams on the road and roadies in Boulder.
The easiest game will probably be Cal in Boulder.

Yeah I didn’t think my post was overly optimistic, but maybe it was. Part of me is counting on ASU cleaning house and being in rebuild mode but who knows.

There’s a part of me that appreciates taking a methodical approach. As fans we gravitate to the extremes and want results immediately. But this “methodical approach” Dorrell is talking about should have been started after the UNC game. Not four weeks later. It’s painfully obvious our game prep and in-game adjustments are ****. It doesn’t take a methodical approach to recognize that.

Maybe they need a method to recognize things like that?
