Yes, we have all that grass and a turf field down there, we have Franklin field outside the IPF, but as far as having the absolute best Indoor Football Field, it is not that, because it has the track around it. I would work to make an indoor track building for sure, and then football and if needed Lacrosse and Soccer could use it. In fact, I would play Lacrosse inside as much as needed if it was all turf and not limited by the track.

No doubtThis a site issue. The building was not built wide enough. Or long enough.
It is to let a player know a wall is coming. No doubt
It is a very nice building, but my point is if the Track is vital to the building?
Football is #1, so upgrade for them without the track
Yeah. Of all the things, I don't see how the IPF would be anywhere near the list of facility problems to address.Seriously? We have one of the best indoor facilities in college football. The indoor track allows CU to host sanctioned indoor meets.
Top IPF’s
Now, that is an older article and maybe there are newer facilities, but, regardless, ours is excellent.
Certainly not when the only complaint is that the corners of the end zones are cut off by the track. Irrelevant issue. They have like 4 other full size football fields they can practice on outside.Yeah. Of all the things, I don't see how the IPF would be anywhere near the list of facility problems to address.

I am discussing dream and wish list, not priority. My point is that the IPF as a football only (soccer and lacrosse) would also work, is ideal and the lack of a pure full-size field is less than ideal. We also spent a lot of money on our track at East campus and putting an indoor track next to the outdoor would be pretty spectacular. All this is a dream, the stadium renovations are priorityYeah. Of all the things, I don't see how the IPF would be anywhere near the list of facility problems to address.
Hate to see this but I also get it from a financial and multi-use perspective

I certainly wouldn’t prioritize replacing natural grass with plastic. Boo!

Yeah, it was in pretty bad shape last year. Like, REALLY bad shape. It was noticeable from row 45, so I’m guessing it was worse than it appeared.![]()
Sorry, but it's about time. Ask the players and coaches, by November the field ain't so great.
In the South. In domes.Ffs, like games arent played on grass in december.
They painted the dirt green to make it look good on TV, and they can also put good turf on the sideline out to the wall.![]()

So stupid! Who's the Athletic Director again?
Yeah the Sourh can grow grass during the winter. Colorado can’t. The Broncos spend a bunch of money having the field completely replaced mid to late season now.In the South. In domes.
Yep. Colorado's dry climate and heavily clay soil makes it almost impossible for a field to hold up more than a month two. I had to check on ND because I swear they were one of the last "northern" holdouts, but they switched in 2014!Yeah the Sourh can grow grass during the winter. Colorado can’t. Ohio State and Michigan both play on turf. Wisconsin is turf. Penn State plays on grass but I would bet most of the B1G is turf. I saw that 70% of our away games last year were turf.
