Travis Hunter Appreciation Thread (Awards: HE12MAN, Walter Camp, Biletnikoff, Bednarik, Lott, Paul Hornung, AP PotY)

Not exactly breaking news but I love that Field Yates is saying every team he talks to thinks Travis will play on both sides of the ball.

Two other very important notes: I haven't yet spoken to a team that thinks Hunter will play one side of the ball exclusively (all envision at least a part time role on the side where he doesn't feature), and I've yet to find a team that thinks his ceiling is low at either spot.

Depending on where he goes, I think he'll play mainly on offense and he'll get some snaps on defense here and there, jmho.

While these are definitely two of the best players to ever put on the black and gold (or blue and whatever, or silver and gold) I don't like it. To me, a jersey should be retired only when the player plays their entire career at CU. Byron White. Bobby Anderson. Dave Logan. Rashan Salaam. Etc. Those guys were 100 percent Buffs. I realize that in today's transactional age of college football that is going to be a very rare occurrence, but, well we live in the world we live in, not the world we would like to live in.

My issue is the timing
I like to see things simmer for like 4-5 years and then make it a big deal later on when they are in the league
At this point, they are unemployed football players
Travis for sure, but even Rashaan was many years later
If and when Juju gets on the field and if he stays for 3 years, he can beat Shedeur's numbers
Totally feels like a Prime decision
