2013-14 CU MBB SOS Watch (OOC & Pac-12 Opponents)

well, UoA certainly aint untouchable. We can hang with them if we show up.

Drexel is running out of gas and starting to play pretty sloppy. Cats have their weaknesses that is for sure. Our second half team beats them. Our first half team gets run out of the gym.

Cal was kind of fortunate to only lose by 18.

We **** the bed again. Still, Our D is pretty ragged without Solomon. I'm not making excuses because this was a poor showing AND we looked tired.

Lots of hope still. we'll get better. Sorry Pac 12 RPI.

Richmond 83 Air Force 60

AFA will be fired up to face CU, but we need to win that one going away. They are just a bad basketball team this year. Build a lead in the first half and don't look back.

Good to see Utah take care of Ball State in SLC. Game they should win, but it's hard to trust the Utes. Next one up for them is at Boise State, which would be a major resume builder (they haven't really played anyone yet).

Baylor falls to Syracuse. Kept getting it within 6, but Cuse kept answering. Baylor shot lights out in the 2nd half, but you just can't overcome 20 turnovers against the Orange. Especially when CJ Fair has it rolling and Cuse can't miss a FT.

CBI resume?

Thanksgiving games we care about:

Oklahoma State plays Purdue. Boilermakers are undefeated and should be a decent test.

USC plays Villanova. This is a tough one for Troy.

Washington State plays Butler. Really tough one for Wazzu.

Kansas plays an undefeated Wake Forest. Bzdelik gonna pull the upset?

UCLA plays Nevada. Will Alford continue to keep UCLA from dropping games it shouldn't? Adams looks recovered from the knee & Bruins look good so far.

ASU plays Creighton. This is the game where the Sun Devils show whether they're for real this year.

Harvard plays Denver in Alaska. Crimson should roll. DU's best player is on Baylor & somehow didn't have to sit a year.

Wake Forest has taken the Utah method of OOC scheduling. They'll likely get crushed. Not much substance behind that record.

Definitely will have an eye on ASU. If they beat Creighton on a neutral court, it's time to officially take notice.

Need Harvard to get the win over DU

Okie Lite should crush Purdue. Purdue has struggled beating Northern Kentucky by 1, Rider by 4, Sienna by 8. I was a little skeptical preseason that the Pokes were quite this good, but it's clear that they are.

Don't see USC having much of a chance against Nova, but stranger things have happened. Nova isn't above a puzzling OOC loss.

How is RealtimeRPI projecting us to lose both to AFA and CSU?

No idea what realtimerpi is doing, but Air Force's current RPI is 328 and they're projected to be 270 for the season. RPIForceast favors CU by 10.6 and gives the Buffs an 81% chance of winning. I get more worried about the Buffs on the road than just about anyone, but this is spot on. AFA is simply a bad basketball team right now. While I want to see us build on the second half against Harvard and put forth a solid performance, the reality is even a mediocre CU performance would probably result in leaving there with a W. It would take a disastrous performance coupled with AFA raining 3's (ahem, perhaps that part isn't so far fetched) in order to lose. FWIW, they've also bumped CU up to having a 52% chance of victory at CSU, favor the Buffs by 0.6. CSU is going to be a completely different and far more difficult ball game.

Buffs need to stay level and focus. This is a tricky stretch to navigate. We got step 1 out of the way with Harvard. It's extremely important they don't let their minds wander to start thinking about CSU and Kansas.

And it wasn't just last night - Cuse went 55 for 62 from the line in Maui

Marcus Smart is on a whole other level right now. Not sure if even Travis Ford is going to hurt that team, much.

KU up 40-26 at the half vs Wake.

and the surprise of the day if it holds up: Wazzu is up 56-55 on Butler with 6 minutes left.
