2018 College Football News

They seem to be throwing out offers across the country too, which is weird with their local talent pool.

Florida is spending way too much time in CA and TX when they should be focused on FL, GA, AL and SC.

Seems to check out. They have one Florida Top 50 player at the moment while FSU has nine and Miami has six. That is getting worked over by in-state rivals in a big way.

If that was the case, Jim Tressel wouldn't have stepped down.
Tressel got away with stuff for years before anything happened.

One great example with Ohio State is that they had the same training table violations that CU did at the same time. CU self-reported and took a scholarship reduction penalty. Ohio State fought the NCAA, delayed, and by the time the NCAA was ready to close the case the rule had changed to OSU's benefit and they walked away with no penalty. That's how it goes.

Just read the Ohio State 247 board. Lots of "who cares if he lied... none of our business" with a healthy dose of "fake news" and "McMurphy continues his hunt."

I'd expect a lot of that around here as well (there was a lot of that around here, even though this seems to be a much worse situation than Tumpkin). I've seen some people suggest that this would definitely be grounds for firing him. Your thoughts on that?

We'll see if Sports Illustrated kills Urban and the Ohio State program for this... Doubtful would be my guess
It's a different environment with domestic and sexual abuse (even just in the past 12 months) than it use to be, thank goodness. Like others have posted, the press isn't going to let this go lightly, I suspect.
