2018 NCAA tournament thread

Makes sense. They bought in like crazy last night and that's the aspect he has to coach & re-enforce.

I think we can all acknowledge that UMBC played really well on the defensive end. I think we can also all acknowledge that what was unbelievable was that they shot about 70% in the 2nd half against one of the most elite defensive teams in modern college basketball.
They were freaky good on offense in the 2nd. Defense kept them in it in the 1st

In 1987 my buddy had a bar in Idaho Springs. A bunch of us gathered to watch the Villanova/Georgetown final game there. An old miner was sitting at the end of the bar looking increasingly perplexed. Finally, he says "you know, I ain't been up to Georgetown in a long time, but I don't remember all them big... guys...up there".

We laughed.
Gorgeous scenery around Georgetown.

That was a helluva shot that kid made. Probably not a smart shot. But a helluva shot nevertheless.

I'm almost beginning to believe that Sister Jean might just have a direct line to the Almighty.

I have kind of a soft spot for Loyola-Chicago ... one of the several midwestern law schools to which I applied and actually offered me admission. And I'm not even Catholic!

Me too, I was born in Chitown, but I hope Purdue wins it all, my dad's alma mater

I'm bummed at how much flopping has taken over college ball.

I'd say 50% of offensive fouls are really guys flopping, and the numbers are even higher when you're talking about offensive fouls on the blocks.

Pulling for Michigan because the Houston guard has a man bun

There are only a certain set of circumstances under which I even consider pulling for Michigan. Playing the Nubs, obviously. Playing against Urban Meyer. Playing Notre Dame. I think that's it.

Otherwise, **** Michigan.
