There are also many bad players in the FBs. Are they also outliers?. Let just stop this need to rank players. There are good players in every league. Obviously if you are Alabama you have the money and coaches to get the best players.

Why didn't you add Randy Moss to that? He ended up at Marshall for a couple of reasons.
So you’re admitting that Alabama has the best players and they are not, in fact, part of the FCS

Again don't really have any data to support your claim. But FBS schools do have more money to spend. But there are a lot of good players playing inFCS.
The data is very clear. Since you like to use the NFL as the measuring stick, there are far more NFL players that came from the FBS than FCS. Very much like recruiting rankings

No one said that good players can't play in the fcs. When you regularly recruit FCS caliber players, that is not a recipe for success.
And did you really just say that Muslims in India are second rate citizens?

Sep 3, 2021 — The talent in FCS football is on display as 97 former players made NFL active rosters after the annual preseason cuts.
32 teams x 53 Players = 1696
1696 / 97 FCS players = 5.7% Of NFL rosters.
Im sure there are kids that chose an FCS school for academic reasons knowing their NFL chances were flimsy. But they put in the hard work and were in an environment that let them shine at a lower level. And they were very very athletic to begin with.
I know in Womens soccer there are highly skilled players that choose D2 offers over D1 offers because of academics, smaller rosters, geography, or other reasons. Its been said that there are teams in the upper part of D2 that could beat D1 teams handily. Why? D1 schools tend to limit what you can major in because that majors rigor takes away from team activities. My niece had an offer to Iowa State. When she told them she wanted to major in Nursing they told her they would not support that. She ended up committing to a D2 school and is a nurse practitioner today.

when we were regularly a top 25 program we regularly put players in the NFL. To me that was a sign that were successful at recruiting.
A total of 1,696 players make up the NFL’s active rosters. This year, 1,414 (83 percent) hail from FBS schools. Once again, the SEC has the most players on active rosters with the Big Ten following close behind. The two conferences combine for 601 of the 1,414 former FBS players and the top four teams with players on the active roster come from either the SEC or Big Ten.
Alabama checks in at the No. 1 spot, represented by 53 players on active rosters. Unlike the start of last season where they had no former quarterbacks starting in the NFL, they now have three projected starters: Tua Tagovailoa (Miami), Jalen Hurts (Philadelphia) and Mac Jones (New England).
Ohio State, LSU, Georgia and Notre Dame come in behind Alabama to round out the top five. Notre Dame made a big leap between 2020 and 2021. Last year, the Fighting Irish featured 29 players on active rosters; this year they jumped five spots with 34.
Outside of the ACC, Big Ten, SEC and Independent teams, the first Pac-12 school to appear on the list is UCLA with 24, and the first out of the Big 12 is Oklahoma with 31. Link
UCLA is a bit of a head scratcher in that their lack of dominance is puzzling (8-4, 3-4*, 4-8, 3-9, 6-7). USC had 23 players, Stanford 22, Oregon 19, Utah 18, CU 11. So, in addition to good recruiting you clearly need some good coaching too. Oregon and Utah punch above?
