I'm not sure we would do all that well against Ferris St., Valdosta St., or Mines at this point, let alone North Dakota St.I’m starting to think that Mel Tucker is a genius. The hot mess that KD walked into is beginning to look like a perfect storm. Really talented kids are getting poached by better programs, lower tier P5 guys aren’t liking the idea of getting crushed every Saturday and heading out, and the Buffs are left with trying coaching up kids (until and if) they blossom, then they are gone too. Rinse repeat. It’s easy to see where the portal and HS talent is going, and it isn’t the flatirons. The lack of University and State support is death sentence. CU can’t help with NIL for the players? Ludicrous. Buffs might as well drop down to FBS level. At least it will be humorous to watch the surprise when the revenue negative sports don’t get their money.
Don't we play North Dakota St. sometime soon? I could've swore I saw that. I dread that game, they'll probably ****ing beat the brakes off of us.I'm not sure we would do all that well against Ferris St., Valdosta St., or Mines at this point, let alone North Dakota St.
Those guys play some good football
My nieces hubby is the DC...he would coach circles around Wilson..Don't we play North Dakota St. sometime soon? I could've swore I saw that. I dread that game, they'll probably ****ing beat the brakes off of us.
A bad spell? It that supposed to last almost two decades?CU will be fine. All programs go through bad spell. cU just have to make adjustments to adapt to the new college football landscape. Free great education, opportunity to play at a P5 school. Great campus, great facilities and now assembling coaches that teach the game well should be CU selling point. The reality is we can't compete with the big money bags. You don't want to have a double negative which is you are bad team and you also facing multiple NCAA violations.
CU has a lot going for it, that’s true, but have you honestly seen any evidence that CU is willing or capable of making the adjustments needed to adapt to the new college football landscape?CU will be fine. Considering that we had trouble trying to control the LOS against Northern Colorado which is on the lower end of FCS talent you might be right. The final score of that game didn't reflect how much trouble they gave us in multiple areas.I'm not sure we would do all that well against Ferris St., Valdosta St., or Mines at this point, let alone North Dakota St.

The evidence is that KD is perfectly acceptable and completely preferable to the administration. See contract. In fact, his hire and retention falls in line with a pattern of hires for the HFBC position for a number of years.CU has a lot going for it, that’s true, but have you honestly seen any evidence that CU is willing or capable of making the adjustments needed to adapt to the new college football landscape?
Also, CU seems to be the only school where NCAA violations or the threat thereof are actually punishing.

In the grand scheme of things, yes. CU will be fine. The University isn’t going anywhere. The football program at CU is mired in a cycle of sub mediocrity that has existed for 20 years. There is absolutely zero indication that University leadership is motivated to change that cycle. The idea that CU football is merely going through a bad spell is delusional. We are what we are because of decisions we have made and continue to make. The same people who made the choices that put us in the situation we are in remain in positions where they control the future of the program. Here’s where you need to pay attention: THESE PEOPLE DONT CARE IF THE FOOTBALL PROGRAM IS SUCCESSFUL OR NOT. We are depending on these same people to lead us out of the situation we are in and they couldn’t care less. It’s simply not important to them.CU will be fine. A program like CU should be replacing Martin with a late 20something/early 30something GA from Texas or aTm or another program along those lines who is going to jump at a chance to make $200k/year and work his dick off on the recruiting trail. Same goes for replacing Cook, and Chev (WR only) at the very least.
I just don’t understand how these “outside the box” or high risk/high reward strategies that we’ve discussed for a while now are so taboo for Dorrell and RG.
Rick George can’t actually believe this current “teach em up” strategy is actually going to work.
Dorrell said so, what more do you need??Evidence of coaches that "teach the game well?"
I guess we do offer that, to some of the players that would have signed to an FCS school, had we not offered.opportunity to play at a P5 school.

There are also good players that play at FCS schools. Are you saying they are lesser because they play at FCS schools?
CU offers Dartmouth CB Isiah Johnson grad transfer.
