2024-25 Coaching Carousel

McMillan is gone to the NFL...he's a junior and I think he's a first rounder.

There has been talk of Fifita going to Utah but that was before the talk of the Washington State OC going to Utah with the WSU QB in tow. As for Fifita to Washington, I'm not sure about that since the UW coach took UA's QB pledge from last year with him to Seattle.

Fifita to CU would be a nice insurance policy on JuJu...people need to remember he will still be 17 years old when the 2025 season starts.
People also need to remember Juju committed because part of the deal HCP put together is that he'll be the Game 1 starter if he comes in and simply does the work he needs to.

I'm expecting that to happen....what's the fallback plan?

Agreed, I love Juju, but shouldn't CU have a good Plan B if Juju gets dinged up or encounters adversity during the adjustment period. Wouldn't Juju be on board with this for his True Frosh year?

Is it confirmed that he will be on campus for Spring ball? Starter game 1 if he is here for Spring. Less chance/more risk if he is a fall arrival. We open at home against Georgia Tech, then easier with Deleware and Wyoming.

IMO, the overall rigors of playing the college game is much more than high level HS football at all positions. The risk of injury or being banged for a True Frosh is pretty high. I give props to Seaton and Cleveland since they handled it well. Now if CU had an established monster Oline with NFL bound RB/run game; I could see taking more risk, however we still have some improvements to make at Oline, RB and TE. Thankfully, some guys are on the way and others will follow.

Feels strange to sit here in December with an upcoming bowl game.

Not panicking that it’s all downhill from here as everyone leaves.

No one needs to be burnt at the stake.

No major coaching carousel for a new (****ty) HC

Our best players aren’t fleeing like cockroaches.

We aren’t hoping our best player gets an UDFA offer.

We aren’t discussing whether stars matter.

Don’t need to discuss whether winning or recruiting comes first.

Not praying our one passable coach stays with us rather than being swooped by some mid ass team.

No mid ass teams doing drive bys about how they (Michigan State) are elite and we are small time and need to just accept getting reamed

Not wondering if we finally drop to G5/FCS

No in-conference blue blood stealing our talent

All seems well. I gotta say it’s pretty nice being a Buffs fan watching the despair of all these other teams.

Hope everyone understands just how painful the surprise cosmic nut punch will be. Judgment will be swift. It’s gonna hurt pretty ****ing bad too

Turn this into a Christmas carol please

It would be glorious.

Great narrative no matter how it turned out. Either he loses at UCF and Nebraska broke him or he wins at UCF and Nebraska is a coaching graveyard where you can't win. Maybe we could even spin it as both.
And we get to play him again!!!
At home in 2026
Please football gods please

They considered offering Sanders the year before CU did, but didn’t think he had enough high-level experience. Same with Kiffin. Both were rumored to be on board.
We visited Arkansas due to my wife working with Walmart, and I was blown away about how beautiful the campus was, how amazing the Stadium is, and with SEC opportunities it is a true conundrum. However, Arkansas as a state is no bueno

They have always been like. Back in the SWC days they were always underachieving. weird
They are exactly CU. Little, to no, in-state talent. Gorgeous campus. Next-level facilities. 1 natty. Fan base that supports them no matter what.
Even down to this year - potent offense that tripped on its own dick at times, inexplicably lost to a total ass B12 team, lost close game they should have won to a ranked conf opponent, won a super exciting game, strong defense that was prone to back-breaking explosive plays, absolute dog-**** special teams. They just happened to have to play a few more teams that were better (thus the difference in records)

Coaches generally DGAF about location quality of life. They're rich, super busy and travel a bunch. I think the only time it really enters the equation is wife/kids.
