He basically is. Hunter just gets the start at both WR and CB, so when he's not playing CB it will be Hodge.

It looked to me that Green will be used as more situational passing down specialist. He can do it all, but he's an absolute disruptor on pass plays.
While these may be "starters" our rotation at most positions has been extensive. With units like DL, it looked like coaches will be comfortable giving upwards of 12 dudes PT. Goes to show how deep and talented we might be in certain places.

Buell is also going to get a lot of run on the inside. Pretty much everyone who has watched practices has said he might be the best all around DT on the team

I have no concerns at LB. Woods wasn’t a desperation move. With the size he’s added and maybe another off season he has the instincts to play there on Sunday. Not enough speed for safety.

Seems like Hart was trying to tell us such this week.
From what I saw Tuesday, Woods knows the position now, but is still trying to play it like a safety.
I saw drops too deep last year and angles too flat. And we all saw the sled film where he didn’t know how to strike. He’ll still get a lot of reps.
He will, especially against passing teams. He's also going around blockers on runs rather than anchoring down and holding gaps.

A 217 pounder at LB going against 300 pound linemen? Suicide mission! And if Woods have to hold gaps on running plays, that means the defensive linemen are not doing their jobs or the wrong LB is on the field.
The DL could be doing their jobs perfectly, but LBs still have to read, fill and engage a lineman on most run plays.

Must be on field as much as possible, maybe not on obvious short yardage runs
240 lb backers don’t engage, if they do they lose to 320 pounders as well. They stay off OL. They have to tackle RBs and not get run over.

Yeah. He spoke to the team. The newest Well Off video has most, if not all of his speech
I would welcome him with open arms in a similar role to what he did at The U as Chief of Staff under both Manny Diaz and Mario Cristobal.
I think he'd be a tremendous asset in that since we don't currently have a coaching role.

Russell has a lot of technique to learn before he's a viable option.

I hope we have an Ed Reed type in our secondary. Dude was the definition of a ball hawk, sure tackler as well. Also heady enough to pull this kind of shvt off.
The connectivity between our group of Miami Hurricanes coaches and the Buffs and the likely mutual disdain for the Huskers will be on full display in Lincoln. Miami and Colorado have no major beef, but both programs do not like Nebraska! Sapp brought it up in one of his speeches.
I hope Ed Reed hangs around a bit
