And Bama is losing Oatis and Odom. Everyone will lose talent, and transfer in others. The portal absolutely increases parity when blue bloods can't hoard 4 and 5* on their scout team. Look no further than CU, ASU and Indiana as examples of what's possible in the portal era.
Yes, I explained this to him already. It’s a bad time to be a G5 program as they won’t retain any upper level talent for the most part, but the talent is definitely spreading out among the top half of P4
The blue bloods are still going to be very talented year in, year out but they will have depth issues and misses on blue chip recruits that can’t be covered with other blue chip recruits behind them.
He must have a really high IQ.

I'd have to look at other P5 programs transfers but I appreciate that CP takes not only High Star guys from other Programs who aren't getting Playing Time but also High Production guys with less measurables from Lower Level Programs... then he lets them battle it out to see who will play. I like it.

He's a lot better than his numbers this year indicate. NC State QB play was garbage this year.

Anyone in here were really gonna miss? Or were all hey we see you as a better fit elsewhere. There’s a couple i liked last year but assuming after injury they weren’t The same.
Hayes and Waseem are the two that I think will be missed. Pearson and Russell were IMO likely to be contributors in the future, maybe Jordan O too.
The WRs and OL. After that, not so much.
Might be infected with MikMac. We just finished fumigating for that. Might not be worth the risk.
I'm not sure about even that. I don't see Onovughe or Waseem getting much run with us and 2 of the OL left the team already.
The only outgoing transfer who would've cracked the 2 deep is Hayes.
Wish em all luck, but I think we're fine with what we've lost so far.
Better to find out now rather than later.

I believe Tyler Johnson got screwed and would have been a next year.
If he would have put in the work, he would've started this year. He made his choices.
Maybe, but he had A LOT of work to do. Got the bag and basically shut it down.

Its tough to lose OL depth but that's what's going to happen year in year out from now on with the Portal. If a Soph/Jr comes in and loses out on the OL battle in the Spring or Fall. You can about bet a good percentage of the players are going to move on to another opportunity the following season. The goal will be to add more Freshman OL each year so you can have 2 or 3 years to develop and utilize them in the 2 deep prior to that critical 3rd/4th year where guys are going to leave to play..
Side goal is probably bring in 1 year guys who can compete to start but if they lose out you have an experienced backup for the season but also don't necessarily block the Freshman and RS Freshmans opportunities.
I don't think WR recruiting will ever be an issue as long as you are throwing the ball a lot and have a QB who is reasonable. Obviously are RB recruiting is going to struggle.

I think its crazy that Norvell continues to engage in these money games with his players. A lot of FSU players did it last year and did not perform. Lundy and Farmer come to mind, but I know there were more.
