Bowl Games (other than ours) and associated silliness 2024 Plus the Playoffs

Good to see the Ducks and Lan Danning get some comeuppance. Also, Shedeur Sanders should've been in NYC instead of Dillon Gabriel.

Edit: Oops, that was stupid - #2 was in NYC. Heisman voters got it wrong was my point.

“Let’s Groove” normally makes people want to get up and move. The Oregon band’s rendition almost put me to sleep.

I was not watching this thread during the ASU game…..so I am sure this was discussed. How was that not targeting? Horrible call that screwed ASU. I know that UT missed the field goal, but ASU would have had the chance to score and put the game away. I would be so pissed if I were an ASU fan.

That and there was no launch and the contact was made while wrapping. They have refined the interpretation over the years to not call targeting if contact is unavoidable or incidental to a legal football tackle. In those first few years that would have been called.

You can’t say that here.

That was sarcasm font, dude.

I think what we're learning here is that there are a lot of things that are different than we've ever seen. Completely changing everything after one year may lead to a situation where we're changing everything every year as a reaction to every season.

Like I said, we don't know how this is all going to play out. It seems to be that the bye teams are at a disadvantage. Teams might not want the bye after this.
