Deion also not announced until Dec 4th. So basically in 11 days
So I was in Vegas last weekend and wore a Buffs hat the whole time. Among the 69,420 comments I got on it and Coach Prime (including from a casino employee who played high school football with Mike Pritchard), one that jumped out was my Uber driver, he was probably mid twenties, said "have you been a Colorado fan or did you just get the hat because of Deion?" I asked him who his team was, and he said he doesn't really follow sports that much. I knew there would be a massive marketing boon and revenue offset on Coach Prime's salary from this hiring, but the extent it's gone to so quickly is wild. It's crazy to think we're at a place, not even two weeks into this deal, without a snap taking place, without Coach Prime even being here full time yet, where we're already viewed as a cool school nationally with fair-weather fans buying up our gear to the extent that it's being talked about by a young Uber driver in Las Vegas who doesn't even like football.
If this is a dream, I don't want to wake up.

the buzz is freaking insane. whenever i wear a Buff hat, i am getting questions and comments from randoms left and right. hell, even the guy who cuts my hair and has exactly zero interest in sports asked me about Prime.

also, i love having all these recruits here at the same time. you want more Prime Effect? some of these kids are going to be feeling pressure to commit in order to save their spots.

Last week I got a text message from one of my wing commanders (commander’s critical report info) to let me know about one of the contractors who had threatened to shoot up a training building.
Part way through the exchange i noticed he had a 303 number. Asked if he was from Colorado and if he went to CU. He said yes from CO, no didn’t go to CU but casually follows. So he asked me about Sanders and we started text chatting about the Prime effect, upgraded merch, recruits, more locals becoming fans, etc. He ended the conversation with, “anyway sir, back to business, security forces have subdued the suspect, he is custody, no weapon found.” Its wild!
At halftime of the LV Bowl on ESPN they just spent a few minutes talking about Prime and CU after showing the JSU-NCCU highlights
