Ladies and gentlemen, the Prime effect

Someone needs to shut these clowns up

Heard Stephen A saying that prime needed to be somewhere where he could be featured. A place with good exposure. A place with a full stadium and big time matchups.

Was sitting there like... CU has pushed prime to the forefront of all branding. CU has been on national TV for every single game. CU has sold out all but one game and has been among the top 5 rated TV viewership every week... Like what is SAS even talking about?

Heard that as well. Only team in the country to be featured on every major network and national TV for all 12 games.

CU is also fine with him putting his “Prime” brand front and center alongside or above the CU brand. Sorry, but no tier 1 SEC program is going to let that fly.

Honestly, though, if Prime wanted them to stop talking about him like this, he would respectfully ask them to stop (and they would). He knows that it keeps his name in the news and only makes his brand bigger and he also knows that the recruits who matter know his plan.

I think they should all stand up and lay their dick on the desk. How can people watch this? I kinda doubt a HS recruit is. **** these wannabes

He's talking about how much better it would be for SAS if Prime was coaching somewhere SAS would like to visit a half dozen times a year.

Michael Irvin sitting next to Jerry jones and telling him on national television that the cowboys need to hire sanders in the lead up to a mike Tyson fight. This was not on my 2024 bingo card
Maybe I am misreading this.... But how could you NOT have that on your bingo card. I can tell you one thing..... and I have a pretty strong connection to MI (other than I was cheering when he was lying on the Vet carpet in Philly..... that was a joke... I did NOT cheer about that).... anyway....

MI and CP are great friends, HOWEVER, CP is NOT going to take MI's advice EVER...... on ANYTHING.

Direct link
That was an amazing article.... from Hawkins "Intramurals" quote to the Sanders family sit down (and the middle schooler) means we have a program that everyone should emulate... not hate.

If you hate.... thats your problem. I get my 3-4 hours of CU football at least 3 more times this season.... maybe more.

Enjoy the ride. These talk shows on ESPN have horrible ratings and are just there for clips. What gets engagement? Deion Sanders. I have a hard time believing that Juju would commit to CU if Prime didn't say he was going to be there for the long-term.

The one thing (with the NFL) that I keep pointing back to is he has never said once he's interested in the NFL. He has said multiple times that he has no desire to coach in the NFL. When he was at Jackson State, he said in his 60 minute interview that he would have to consider going to our P5 job if the opportunity presented itself. That's completely different than his communications to the NFL. He's happy here. As long as he believes he is getting paid market value, he isn't leaving.

What if he wants NFL ownership?

Is Winston Watkins the 5* WR that committed the day CP took the job but decommitted later that year?
Yes. Supposedly other coaches started getting in his ear about Prime not being here in 2025 and coupled with the 4-8 season last year, he decommitted.

FWIW, he also transferred out of IMG and has kind of lost some of his recruiting buzz and is no longer a 5*. He's still a 4* with Ole Miss, Indiana and South Carolina listed as Warm.

I'm pretty sure he's had an extension offer sitting on his desk for a while now. Smart to let it sit until; after the season because his value only goes up if they make the CFP
This is where I struggle to fully trust Rick George. He is a very good man, very personable, and he loves CU, but 3D chess is not his game.
Honestly and without hesitation, Prime should be offered $14 Million per year today in a variety of creative ways to show how he is so valued by everyone, and to do the thing that all people love to have "Be the highest paid at something", even if only for a short period of time. Pay him now and shut this **** down and show our cards about how we want to be in the top 20 all the time.

I don't really buy that there's some standing offer on his desk that he refuses to sign. That feels far too transactional on both sides and honestly, whether he wins the Natty this year or just wins 9-10 games and goes to the Alamo Bowl, his contract extension offer is going to look the exact same.
