Effing Irvin. I watched that segment. Shut your dirty mouth. Sucks being a fan listening to rumor mongers and having no clue what Prime is thinking and what he’s saying to recruits.
You hear, on the one hand, that Prime absolutely loves Colorado and has no intention of leaving then, on the other, if Dallas drafts Shedeur and Prime is offered their HC job that he’s “100% gone.”

It gives Prime an opportunity to reaffirm his commitment to CU and reminds the nation that he is the hottest coach in the Country. . .

It won’t harm recruiting if Prime signs an extension. But it also gives Prime more leverage in contract negotiations.
Thing is, we all knew that this sort of angst was coming. It’s part of the deal when you have the hottest coach in the country.
I remember when Irvin supposedly stabbed a teammate in the Dallas locker room. It made news for a few days and then was played low-key. The police said "no charges", because the victim didn't want to press charges. Anyone with criminal justice experience will tell you that they press assaults with dealy weapons, regardless of how a victim might feel. And here, there were numerous witnesses.

If we want to play big boy football then we will have to put up with this type of stuff. Every team has dealt with this whether it was a discussion about going to a different college team or the NFL. We've just been sheltered with Dorrells, Embress, Hawkins, etc that this is all foreign to us.

I think Prime has absolutely loved the Gold, Black, White in our wardrobe, and he has taken it to new heights.
