Ladies and gentlemen, the Prime effect

I know coaches in general are never very open about plans to leave a program, but the things CP is saying would be over the top. He would be a poor fit to coach in the nfl and he knows it. He is effusive in his praise of Colorado and how much he loves it there. I guess its a lot of wishful thinking by other fan bases, as well as a whole lot of buzz being generated solely to get clicks. If any place was offering, I would put down a sizable bet that he isn’t going anywhere, and I don’t gamble.

What does Tubi have to do with him “not going anywhere?”
2 different points, sorry.

CP sees Tubi as a 'multi-cultural' - platform, says it will help get his message to recruits' families. In terms of any NFL interest, why would he be starting a new TV program now, to help his college recruiting (among other things)?

Effing Irvin. I watched that segment. Shut your dirty mouth. Sucks being a fan listening to rumor mongers and having no clue what Prime is thinking and what he’s saying to recruits.

You hear, on the one hand, that Prime absolutely loves Colorado and has no intention of leaving then, on the other, if Dallas drafts Shedeur and Prime is offered their HC job that he’s “100% gone.”

Que sera, sera…. 😆

This comment from Erving, more than all the others, will harm recruiting. The relationship is too close. Man can't keep his yap closed.

It won’t harm recruiting if Prime signs an extension. But it also gives Prime more leverage in contract negotiations.

Thing is, we all knew that this sort of angst was coming. It’s part of the deal when you have the hottest coach in the country.

I remember when Irvin supposedly stabbed a teammate in the Dallas locker room. It made news for a few days and then was played low-key. The police said "no charges", because the victim didn't want to press charges. Anyone with criminal justice experience will tell you that they press assaults with dealy weapons, regardless of how a victim might feel. And here, there were numerous witnesses.
How many millions a year do they pay this sportsman?

If we want to play big boy football then we will have to put up with this type of stuff. Every team has dealt with this whether it was a discussion about going to a different college team or the NFL. We've just been sheltered with Dorrells, Embress, Hawkins, etc that this is all foreign to us.

When whatshisface bailed for MSU we were all in shock. But look how well that turned out!! 🤣

The set for his show is in the Champions Center (I think). He is building his media empire here.

Deion will leave someday, it’s inevitable. Whether it’s for health reasons, retirement, or a move to the NFL, it’ll happen. But enjoy the moment! The bright side? He’s proving you can win in Boulder, and the resources will be there for the next head coach. Stop worrying about tomorrow!

CU might also have the edge on him staying a bit longer because he was given the reigns and a chance where other places like let's say Florida State wouldn't. I do think he likes it here.

You really think he does not have all the leverage he needs already? That is laughable and there is not another coach in the country with as much leverage as Coach Prime.
