NBA (and other pro league) Buffs

The first two injuries were aggravating, but the third was the most damaging. Williams sprained his right ankle in a road win against Utah on Feb. 24, badly hurting himself after landing on a defender's foot.

"It doesn't look good on camera, I'm not gonna lie. It was a nasty little ankle injury," Cody said. "I had some stressed ligaments, I had some bone bruises, two bone fragments in my foot."

It was the worst kind of ankle damage: a complete ligament tear. Grade 3. That would have ended the season/college career for the majority of players expected to go in the top 20 of a forthcoming draft. Not Cody, though in retrospect that decision became controversial. He missed the final four games of the regular season but opted to return for the Pac-12 Tournament -- doing so while significantly hindered but nonetheless after Colorado's medical team cleared him.

Great story in all. How can I submit a fact check, he hurt his ankle at home against Utah, not on the road. It happened right in front of me and I knew it looked bad, I was shocked when he came back in that game.

When it happened, I was sick to my stomach because it looked horrible. When he was able to return to the court, I was surprised but thought that meant he got lucky and it was one of those ankle things where as long as you can put weight on it then you're better off working through it and keeping it loose so it doesn't swell & lock up. In hindsight, maybe they should have taken him straight to those cool down pools and gone straight to rest/ ice/ elevation.

SA would be interesting.

Pop knows and likes Tad and believes that Tad does a good job of preparing players for the NBA, part of why he drafted D White when he did.

Picking Cody for any team would be a pure gamble on potential but have to imagine that Pop has had some solid conversations with Tad about him.
I’d like Cody to San Antonio or OKC

Has anyone noticed that the Big 12 twitter feed is posting about CU's draft picks but not the Pac-12 or Pac-12 Network? Guess they really fired just about everyone at the P12 HQ or are being petty.
