No, they weren’t and that’s my point. You don’t fire a guy in year 3 and eat that buyout only to decide that a guy who will have a 10-24 record as a HC is the right guy to replace him just because he goes to fraternity houses to engage students.Do you think they were trying to destroy CU FB when they hired Dorell? No, they were just that bad.
I think it unlikely, but I also do not think it impossible.
Yet, they inexplicably enter a bidding war with themselves and hire a guy nobody else was going to even consider, much less hire, and pronounced it a good idea. I have little trouble believing they could do something that foolish again. That is my point. No, they weren’t and that’s my point. Hiring Sanford would signal a shift from foolishness to outright sabotage which is why it’s out of the realm of possibility in my mind. As bad as the Dorrell hire was, he at least had a winning record as a HC in our conference and some history at CU. If you squint really hard you can almost see how they talked themselves into that hire when they were caught flat footed by Tucker in February.Yet, they inexplicably enter a bidding war with themselves and hire a guy nobody else was going to even consider, much less hire, and pronounced it a good idea. Well, I hope you are right, but I have very little confidence in the PTB. It isn't just Dorrell, they have run the FB team into the ground the last 20 years and that has been attended by a long train of bad decisions. I am not as confident as you they have figured anything out.Hiring Sanford would signal a shift from foolishness to outright sabotage which is why it’s out of the realm of possibility in my mind. By contrast, this was a mid-season firing and they have time to get their ducks in a row to make a better hiring decision. They may still boner this up, but Sanford cannot be part of the equation here.
The law of averages is on our side.Well, I hope you are right, but I have very little confidence in the PTB. Oof, that's the Gambler's Fallacy. The law of averages is on our side.
We're like Clark Griswold gambling in Vegas Vacation.Oof, that's the Gambler's Fallacy.
I can’t imagine Sanford is remotely a real possibility. As incompetent as they are, I would be shocked if that’s what they landed on.
I’m not going to be surprised when we are finally pulled into Duff’s eternal hell upon the announcement Bryan Harsin is our new coach. Whatever Duff did in his past life could come back and f*** us pretty hard here
You and KD saw the talent!I led the Tyson hype train, but very few here were impressed with him because CU was his only P5 offer.
It's gonna be Leach. Then I will just watch Auburn make an equally or more disappointing hire. Everything is fine.
Now, that would be entertaining. It's gonna be Leach.
It's gonna be Leach.
Good thing auburn is a bottom tier SEC school.Leach deliberately avoids high expectation jobs.
I thought he tried to get the Tennessee job a few years ago. Anyway, I think he'd chafe badly at a program where he was directed or even questioned by anyone. Auburn would be a terrible fit.Leach deliberately avoids high expectation jobs.
TTech to Wazzu to Cowbell State. ML goes places where 8-4 is just fine and he's good at getting a program to about those levels. Sustains for a while thenLeach deliberately avoids high expectation jobs.

Boom. Roasted.
I think that list sets yourself up for disappointment. My top 5 wish list (in order):
Deion Sanders
Ryan Walters
Tom Herman
Matt Rhule
Garrett Riley
I'm a Buffs fan, well adept at being disappointedI think that list sets yourself up for disappointment.
And not because Sanford is worse. As bad as the Dorrell hire was, Sanford would be several orders of magnitude worse.
Four! We're like Clark Griswold gambling in Vegas Vacation.
