Pac-12 Network is restructuring

Lol ATT and directv deserve each other. With dish and their over priced contracts they impose on you if you ever choose to switch. ATT with their dishonest commercials about how great they are and 5G and all the other lies, they also have horrible cell reception.

I noticed sling dropped Cinemax and HBO due to them asking for more money. I give it 5 years and they’ll have their way and it’ll cost $100+ for streaming TV. I’m just not jumping in, I’d rather play my guitar, hike, watch a movie at home or in a theater, walk my dogs, go to a sporting event etc than pay for any of this. Bunch of greedy ****s running all of these companies. I’ll stick to Netflix (for now) and Hulu when I want to relax and watch something to kill some time.

If more people did this football games would be $16, coaches would be professors too, and ADs would have no money other than what they get from the tax payer and the gate. This whole house of cards that leads to Champions Centers and Mel Tuckers is built on the premise of TV paying more and MORE and MORE for the rights.

YOU are definitely NOT doing your part.

I bought season tickets and gear and donate haha so I do give some!

You hike, play guitar and have a dog? With that awesome life, how do you have time to post thousands of times on Allbuffs?

Ha. Meant no disrespect. Just needed a chuckle on Monday afternoon.

Lol yeah I get bored and my instant reaction is to see what’s happening here. My wife generally loves that I do that, she encourages me to spend more time talking to all of you.

With all of its forward contracts, including a terrible NBA deal that is heavily back-weighted, ESPNs value may be negative at this point.

I am trying the whole cord cutting thing, and went with Hulu Live. Then I noticed PAC12 Network isn't available on the platform. I reached out and asked about paying extra to get a subscription to PAC12. The feedback I received is that they don't allow outside channel purchase yet, but are keeping track of requests. Anyone in the same boat as me please reach out and request!

SlingTV Orange Package $25/month

If you want the Pac 12 network (and if you are reading Allbuffs, of course you do!), then I think your options are 1) Sling, 2) Fubo, 3) traditional cable like xfinity.

Yup. I will say this though, the cord cutting is killing Comcast and it shows. They have 1 gig internet and 150 channels I think for $100 a month for a year. Not long ago 1 gig was like $250 + a month and cable was another $100 easy. I pay $39 a month just for 50MB, I’m almost debating on just getting the package for the Internet alone.

Pac-12 Network added to Apple TV.

Limited since you still need to get P12N through a provider in order to access, but it's a step forward and hopefully a sign that some important relationships are being cemented ahead of the 2024 media deal.

It's still annoying that you can't subscribe directly to the Pac 12 App if you don't have Dish/Comcast. Obviously don't know how the numbers work out, but wouldn't that be a great way to allow people with DirecTV to pay to watch Pac 12 Network?

I might add Sling before the AFA game but I'm content to just ride the ESPN+ train this year (cord cutter).

Here's a basic concept people: Try rewarding the provider(s) that DID choose to carry the Pac12 Network by signing up with them. And canceling the ones that didnt.

It would be great if our contracts with the cable companies allowed the pac 12 network to sell the channel a la carte direct to consumers, but they don’t.

It is of paramount importance for the conference to get the pac12 network onto more cord cutting platforms. Sling and fubo are not enough.

It's not about buff fans refusing to switch, it's about most of America not having access. I switched to comcast years ago for the network, and it doesn't matter.

Right! Sling has a poor user experience and fubo does not have ESPN. YouTube TV, hulu, ps vue all have big10 but not pac 12, why? Give consumers choices, **** is annoying.

Which parts of America are slingTV not available in setting aside the few rural areas with poor broadband? Or Dish?

What youre witnessing is the fractured tv experience that cord cutting promised.

I dropped Vue when it was clear there would be no P12N and they cut Bein instead of raising prices. big10 has Fox Sports pimping them so thats why they are on. Conversely, FuBo probabaly cant maintain their pricing by adding ESPN and all the bloat they bring like the LHN.
